Don't cuss me out on this, it's just my opinion, and I would like to know some others' that aren't just gonna be "you retard" or anything.

My theory is that the people at EPIC have placed them where they know someone they know will find it. I saw a pic of one behind a book and stuff, and I was thinking, if someone found that that hadn't heard of Gears or didn't like it, what's the point? All the people on this forum want one of those so badly that I don't like seeing posts like "WTF is this shiny metal?" and stuff.

... Altho i guess you have a point, but havent you ever wondered who placed them there in the first place :|

Well, first of all SixOkay, the guy sort of behind this has been posting the locations so people can find it. And Random people on the forum have been finding them, not people they tell to find a certain tag.

and they are usually are a bit hidden so people dont just take them and dont enter it..... like Union Square, Alcatraz, and Universal Studios.

also, if someone does find one and dont know what it is the cog has information on it so if someone doesnt know what it is they can still go and enter it.....As in the case of the first UW tag where someone named ChiefWiggum found it, but he didnt know he just followed the instructions and entered it.
