Hi people,
I've been playing Gears since I've bought without any problem. Now it crashes every 5-10 minutes with message "WarGame-G4WLive has an error and it must be closed,... bla, bla...".
I'm really desperate with this situation , I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66@3.52 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Ati HD 4870 with 8.10 drivers. I've tried putting the original GHz with the processor and has the same error.
Any help please, :(

I have P4@3.7 and my bro 2.0 c2d. We both played nicely, with no crashes. But, try disabeling one of your cores. I know some people with same problems on other games that solved the problem by doing this. So, try

Its a longshot but try adding this:
[ALAudio.ALAudioDevice]
MaxEAXVersion=
MaxChannels=
DeviceName=
..to your warengineusersettings.ini file. You'll have to fill in the values that match your sound card. The Device name can be found by going to "Sound and Audio Devices". Its the first thing on your Volume tab. Thats assuming you have XP. Vista should be similar. It will be something like "SB Audigy 4 Audio [0000]"
If your confused about that just google Gears and [ALAudio.ALAudioDevice] and do some reading.
I used to crash alot on my Audigy 2 ZS but after some tweaking of the warengineusersettings.ini I have not crashed in a long while.

Hi people, it has passed a lot time since my problem and I've finally solved:
Everything was the famous windows "kernell.dll" file, maybe it was corrupted and it only affected to Gears, so I looked for everything related and finally I'd formated windows and Gears worked again.
Thanx for everybody who watched for my problem, really thanx.
