Gears of War Lobby Overhaul?

I was thinking for a while... Since Cliffy and his buds at EPIC left us PC GOW players to rot, how about we take over the scene? You know, implement a REAL server list. Show server info, pings, and players. Find a way to get around LIVE :cool: In the UT forums, some guy redid uWindows for UT3 which led me to believe that the same could be done for GOW because of the similar engines. Thoughts?

Well, that was just a small suggestion. But still, LIVE is just junk, nothing more. Just give me a server lobby with names, server info, ping, and players, and I'm good to go. Adept PC gamers don't need training wheel utilities like the 'match finder' or overly simplistic interfaces. I have Xfire to communicate with my friends. Look at UT99's server list. That's the kind of thing I've been longing for.
