Menu Problems

when i start the game everything starts up fine, but when i click on create a profile nothing happens, it's the same thing when i go into the vedio options once i change my settings i cant get out of the vedio options i have to shut the game down and restart it, i click and nothing happens.
anyone have a solution to this problem?
