I need confermation on Gears achievemnets

Hi.
Can someone please tell me if what they say about the gears achievements.
Do you need at least 6 players in the game for the achievement kills to count?

I've searching and asking people and they really haven't fully answered my questions.

Many people have asked this question already. I don't know for sure but I think that when there are six or more players in the game, every kill you make, counts. If the sixth player leaves, all the kills you make after that don't count or something like that.

I myself believe that every kill counts unless you r the host quits.
