Yea...I thought of the same thing cause they are pretty much in plain site, depending where you are, and if they dont know wtf its for they will keep it or toss it away. :(

Honestly, I think they'd go strait to ebay... I mean it has a the website on it with instructional dog tag... they might see what its about and see how much they can get for it. These days pretty much everyone knows about ebay.

The amount of people following this should mean that the cogs should be found quickly quickly. Only hte ont at AT&T Park looks like it would be spotted by a passer by. Most seem to have been behind someing or need a bit of searching to find.

The cog looks as if it has instuctions on what to do with the code and a link to the website so if someone did find a cog who had never heard about the game knows what to do. But I suppose some people might jsut put it on ebay. I've got mixed feeling about people making money form it but if people want to pay hundreds for it then thats up to them.

We are thinking that the Seattle COG AKA "Chiefwiggum" COG was picked up by a NON gamer type.

For what it's worth, I've seen someone pick up one of the COGs, look it over, and put it right back where it was.

Doubt Universal city walk was like that. I hope it's there, not for my sake but for the forum's sake.
Probably won't take the time or gas to head back up there, but someone else is free to take it if they can find it.
If they can find it
IF THEY CAN FIND IT

It's no different than people that pick up valuable antiques and have no idea what they're looking at. I'd kill for one of those COG's man. I'd pay good money to have one because I think they look amazing.

To be quiet honest if there was a deal going where I could purchase the tag along with the game, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Obviously not if it was equivalent to the collector lancer in price, but I'd go as high as say $30, maybe $40 for one (not including the game).

If you pre-order the collectors edition / limited edition with EBgames in Australia [ not sure about america ] you get a limited edition CoG Tags when you pick up the game. I beleive they are sort of similar but are thinner and have dog tags aswell.

I think that everyone who finds a cog tag is someone at EPIC games or someone they tell to go find it to increase hype.

I have to go to UNIVERSAL CITY WALK THIS WEEKEND, if nobody else has found it by then.
