I bought the comic today. It is intended for mature audiences, which means that there are plenty of blood and guts. I really dont know anything about comics, this is the first one I have bought. I thought it was pretty good. I can't wait to see the ones that will come in the future. It introduces a couple new characters. The story is told from a you gear, Jace. If you are a gears fan than definitely pick this up. I dont know how much comics usually cost but this was $4. They even have a reference from the first gears.

Ordering it online would be about your only other option then. Though on occasion they'll have comics up in racks in book stores. Something you may want to check out.

Borders is a common book/CD store (Somewhat...). The one near me is like 2 stories high lol. I haven't checked, but i'm pretty sure they'll have the Gears comic.
Try to Google Map a Borders Book store and see if one is near you, it was also show the Locations Phone number on Google maps. So you can call them and ask if they have any.
Anyway, if all else fails, ordering Online will probably be the best choice.

Almost all Borders stores have comic books, but the question is if they have the one you're looking for or not. They mainly carry the big names such as Marvel, DC, Darkhorse, etc, but sometimes you can find a real gem of an off-brand there. Like was said earlier, ordering online is your best bet. And you don't even have to leave your house.

I found a Halo comic at Borders so there should be a Gears comic there.

I walked about 10 miles to the comic store, and 10 miles back through Seattle. I'm sore now, but at least I got it. It's pretty cool, I can't wait for the next issue.

Isn't Darkhorse the publisher or whatever for Gears comics? I'm pretty sure I heard that a big brand name was being used to sell the new comic.
And to the guy who walked 10 miles to a book store... Daaay-aym, son. How many miles are you going to walk to get Gears 2? I walk just about everywhere, but that is a real commitment to the franchise.
EDIT: wow, thanks Pariahman! The preview for the comic was awesome. *salivates*

Sometimes my local retailer has Darkhorse products, other times not so much. They're really iffy about it. They don't like helping students either, so I don't know. Maybe they horde it in the back of the store or something.
