Remote Control Centaur Tank with BEST BUY Pre-Order (US)

Hello all.

You may have read the rumors on Kotaku this week.

This weekend, Best Buy has begun a new pre-order program for the GEARS OF WAR 2 Limited Edition. With every pre-order, customers will be registered to receive an exclusive Centaur Tank when they pick up the game on November 7th.

We've been working with Best Buy and Epic Games on the Centaur Tank model throughout the summer. It's been quite fun sending prototypes across the country, seeing the feedback from Epic. Art director Chris Perna and his team, who also supervised the awesome GEARS 2 figures from NECA, really made this one come together.

Yeah I've heard about the RC Centaur Tank, but that video was new to me. I'm glad it gave us a concept of the RC tank; now we know about how big it might actually be.

I got mine and it doesn't work. Who should I contact to get a replacement? Bestbuy, Epic or Microsoft?

The thing has a MAJOR design flaw that's pathetic: it's front wheels are too close to the body so when you turn left or right the tires touch the body of the vehicle breaking it to a halt. Whoever aproved the molds for this toy should go back to engineering school. It's cool looking but completely useless as a RC vehicle.

It also has an engine that's too weak to run on any surface that's not completely flat, like hardwood floors. It doesn't run on carpet or grass.

I sd that Epic should sue whoever designed and built this crap because it tarnishes the image of their product.

Also, firing the reeeeetard from merchandising at Microsoft/Epic that okeyed the prototype for this crappy tank.

My Best Buy said that there was a huge problem with customs so they couldn't get the Centaurs in. :(

I'm still hanging onto my raincheck for the heck of it.
