Today I went into Gamestop to pick up the XBOX live vision camera and the Fable 2 guide book. I showed the COG to the guys working there and they gave me 20% off the purchase price because I found a COG! LOL!

Santa Cruz is too far for me unless it's late in the day (post 5pm). I could leave work for Los Gatos because it's only 10 minutes away (although I made it there in 6 that day! haha) but Santa Cruz involves the damn 17, I hate the 17. Used to have to drive up that way all the time when I rowed at Lexington Reservoir.

So, probably not, you'd be golden unless it was the end of the day! Most of the other Bay Area people are farther North.

I hate the 17, worst highway in history.... I was more asking to see if you wanted to team up... you know... 'with our powers combined!' something like that... im car-less and have been chomping at the bit to go up to the bay area and get a tag...

No they dont. I know the guys at my Gamestop pretty good. And when Iwas checking out I was giving the guy a hard time and I said "COG says you should give me a 50% break". He laughed and said "COG wont get you 50% but it will get you 20%". He was just being cool since I brought it in and showed him the COG.

I think the COGs are placed 24 hours before the coords are released. Someone has to get out to the location, drop it off and email Six. Then Six gives the coords to use the next day.


But with the Alkatraz one, the guys were on the first boat that wasn't sold out. Boats start leaving for Alkatraz at 8am but they sell out fast.

If SixOkay is reading this, if you have an extra COG tag, rather than seeing it get hidden someplace, I would like to nominate Waldo as the recipient of it for his dedication and due diligence here. After 4000 posts, he deserves something.

I just feel dedication, as well as a willingness to help others should be rewarded and since Waldo has shown his dedication, and has been a constant beacon for information for everyone here, he is most deserving in my opinion. Sure, we all want COG tags, and some of you are lucky to have found one which is great, but when it comes right down to it, I am sure SixOkay or someone at Epic Games can spare a COG tag for someone like Waldo.

Sorry about my younger sister. She plays Viva Pinata.. Anyway, to backtrack on quite a few things, I liked the new commercial. I mean, it made more sense because isn't the content actually going into Gears 2 while in the Mad World one, we never got close to it really in Gears 1? Sure it's not dark and what not, but I think the song is supposed to give us hope in its upbeatness merely because the storyline involves love now with Dom. But we'll see how it all fits in once we actually get to play the campaign.

As for those folks who asked about me and the tournament, please message me instead of asking on here. It's a pain having to go back 20 pages to catch myself up.

As for the cog tags, I bet they do hide some of them at least 2 days to a week before giving the coordinates but they have someone who checks on them every so often to make sure it is a good place to hide. I'm sure they don't make it too random in finding the places to hide em. Though the ones at the baseball parks were a tad bit awkward and must have been placed mere minutes they were posted on Six's twitter.

Anything new on the "troll" COG? I didn't go down there today. It is a rather compacted area, and as mentioned before, lots of "tourist" folks taking photos, and homeless people sleeping up under the highway, which is always a sad sight to see. My guess is that the COG was probably put up on top of it's head but I checked there, and no such luck. Also, a spot that may have been good was the eye socket, but again, nothing. I even checked the sidewalks leading up to it.

Well to sum up Vegas quickly, the Tropicana Hotel sucks, don't ever stay there. I left $45 up from being down $170, I walked the strip about 3 times. I went to every casino, there are these guys flipping cards for "escorts" and their stuff is littered on the strip that part was disgusting. The rides on top of the Stratosphere rock! Umm, and that's about it, but I was searching the strip for tags while I was walking from one end to the other.

Before I start my story there is not an official coordinate in Denver, Colorado. But I had time to kill while my older brother had a couple of interviews.

So I started out at the Union Station in Denver [Satellite Photo (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=Coors+Field&daddr=39.753907,-104.999063&hl=en&geocode=&mra=mi&mrsp=1&sz=19&sll=39.75362,-104.99909&sspn=0.001002,0.002414&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=19)], my older brother went out for an interview and I decided instead of sitting in the car I would go exploring for a non-existent COG Tag. But I figured that I might get lucky catching Six's Lackeys planting a tag somewhere around the 20 Block radius. So I started walking down 18th street, looking down the tree planters, newspaper dispensers, and down old dark alleyways. From there I turned right down Market Street and checked everything I possibly could, even down the lower level stair wells. I had a couple of people look at me weird, I mean a dude in a hoodie with headphones on walking down Downtown Denver during 11:00 o'clock in the morning isn't exactly normal on Thursday Morning. I made sure to send Gearin a text to make sure that if anything appeared in Denver by happen stance that I would know immediately, I also had him tell NataSS to make sure to text me any information. So I continued on looking for that illusionary tag, I made another right down on 15th Street and headed all the way to Wewatta Street and I realized I had to turn around because of the massive amounts of construction. I doubled back down 15th and began walking around each block between 15th & 20th Street and Wewatta and Market Street. I searched in front of every building and alley while listening to the New Escape the Fate Album and Rise Against: Appeal to Reason. I ended up in front of corridor of empty bars and clubs and I looked hard in every crevice, gutter, parking lot, rusted water main, and archway, and still as I knew it nothing. After a good 40 minutes of this I decided to try my elusive luck at the old Train Station, which has tours that I missed by 10 minutes. The outside architecture reminded me of Gears as did the entire section of Downtown I was exploring, when I got inside most of the doors were locked and there was a lone ticket window and a Hispanic cleaning lady, smiled at me while I searched under the old original benches from 1914, those things were massive and there was like 10 of them. Thank god there weren't any cameras because I was just searching every where in that lobby for a God forsaken tag that did not exist. After a good 20 minutes of searching in there I left to go to Coors Field, thinking that maybe the tag would be hiding somewhere around there like the one at Fenway. Surprisingly enough my brothers interview wasn't over but he couldn't have left me anyways cause I had the keys for his FJ Cruiser, smart right?! So I headed down to Coors Field, still searching every possible nook and cranny for that small piece of spiteful metal. I walked past a brewery and then headed across an overpass, I searched the bridge around the bridge area and even in a bicycle lock up section and still nothing, I searched around the ticket center on the Southern most side of the field, once again thank god for the lack of cameras. I made my way up the long stairwell and searched by all the Southern Entrances, I didn't get to the north side because of time but I'll get to that. There was a dude in a black hoodie sitting on a bench as I walked up the stairs, he was talking on a cell phone and then walked off casually. I still think it was suspicious because there was no one else around the field. Anyways after searching the grass and gate area I headed towards this Statue sitting in front of the field. Which I found really ironic to my search, I found a Gear printed on 2 sides of the statue, though it wasn't what I was looking for it still was kind of cool.

From there I headed back and on my way back my brother called me to see where my journey had lead me. I was only a couple of minutes away and I figured I would tell him once I got back to "Foxy", and that's name of his FJ Cruiser, don't ask me why I still don't get it. So I answered the call of told him I would be there in few. I re-looked over the areas I had been prior and I almost got pulled over by "Denver Special Police" Officer, riding one of those scooter carts that President Bush fell off of a couple of years ago. I was honestly thinking this at the time, "Wow, autistic people have their own police now, man this getting seriously out of hand. Who knew special people could actually commit crimes let alone have cops on scooters to chase them, that's Colorado's taxes well spent..." So anyways the officer let me go about my business, but honestly I could have out ran that scooter if I really had to and there was no way she was going to chase me on foot. So I made it back to my brother, hungry and tagless as I expected. And he asked me what I was doing, and I blatantly told him I was searching for a COG Tag that wasn't there. He proceeded to once again to ask and see how many tags were in Colorado and if I knew where any were. I reminded him again that I was searching in vain for something I knew wasn't there and he asked me why.

Well if you guys must know what exactly inspired my whole vain 2 hour search, it was good ole Indiana Jones. I downloaded new the movie from I-tunes last night and watched it on the way up to Denver, and finished it on the way to downtown. I was bored of not having my own adventure and story to tell so I was determined to at least make one worth of remembering. I won't forgot the trip around Downtown but if a tag appears up here in the next couple of weeks I have a few ideas where it could be hiding. And that guy at the ballpark could be a regular bystander or a man hiding those tags. I don't know but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

It was because of the update that it stopped working. It use to work fine for me until after the Flash update. Also, on internet explorer, the main page video slide thing doesn't even pop up.

I don't see what the problem is, he didn't seem to hesitate in answering. Showed no hostility, nothing. And yet people here seem irritated by the fact that I asked, when the answer benefited everyone.

True, but as exo said, he's the community manager. Meaning, he manages us. So I'm pretty sure that title includes us having the ability to come to him whenever we have a question. Ya know? ;)

i was just joking with the american psycho thing cf I infact have a very lovely lady who I love very much =p. Regarding the six twitter thing I don't really thinks its a big deal. IamTimo - yeah your right some of us cant sit in front of our computers all day waiting for cords and all we do have school, work, family whatever the case may be. its kind of weird for some of us in here its almost become like an addiction where we stare at our computers all day just waiting. and then

Aphostile - your right six does have a job, his job isnt just posting up cords for all of us everyday. he has a normal job just like all of us and well they never had to do this at all for any of us and just said fudge it just release the game.

but there are solutions to those of you who sit in front of your computers all day its called a cell phone get together with someone on here if you trust them give them your number and keep you updated or if you have internet on your phone there are apps that you can install to use twitter like i use twitterberry for my blackberry so yeah lets all just have fun =)
