So I've got 2 reporting invalid (DirtyDiva's is the other one) on my list (sig).

If so, it seems as though the bonus content CSID's are returning "invalid" on entry, and the unlocking CSID's are returning "already entered".

Trying to find a pattern here to help with debugging.

waterborn, that's a data XML used by the website. The CSID codes, if those are the 13 digit cods, are encrypted. Unless someone knows the decryption algorithm, the codes can't be discerned from that list.

that XML code was out for awhile. Someone posted another part of the XML earlier on in this thread. I was following it for awhile because it was showing the coords come up so I wouldn't have to boot last day to see them but they started hiding the coords too =(

i do not think the reno cog tag csid or other ones are broken. its just that the tab which they are ment to unlock has allready been unlocked by another person with a csid that unlocks the same tab. there are like 3to4 csids to unlock each tab so stop bothering six about the site being broken

csids have been reported as being able to be entered, even for already unlocked tabs. The message they're getting is that their code has already been entered. If that's inaccurate, then it's a clarity bug that should be fixed =)

The invalid security code is probably that you entered the "graphic" characters incorrectly. It's not always easy to ready those. Try it again

This is great. I skip my midterm to look for this cog tag, ran three miles from UC Berkeley to the library my brother sent me, and it's gone. This is great.

So i did the usual lookign all around the outside, in windows and pipes and sewer grates, fences etc, typical hiding places. But found nothing.

That's when i called Waterborn to see if he had any ideas, i rechecked everything with him on the phone. Then he read the clue "They Marched into Sunlight" Waterborn via Google Earth noticed a skylight in the library so we decided I should go in, it's a small library. Had to hang up the phone though, no cell phones inside Smile.

So i walked around, couldn't really see a skylight in the common areas. So then i thought, maybe it's stashed in among the book cases, so i started scanning those. And then it dawned on me a flickr photo SixOkay has with a cog that was found inside book. So i thought maybe it's a book, that's about the time when Waterborn called me back and said hey maybe it's a book, go ask the librarian.

So i had to look up the clue's wording again and the librarian found the book and wrote the number down for me and pointed me in the general direction. I felt like i was living a scene out of National Treasure when they were looking for the presidents book in the library of congress . I finally found the 950 section and found the book, held my breath and pulled it and two adjacent books and boom... there it was... My very on cog tag ! I snapped a couple pics and then got out of there to call Waterborn back with the good news!

ok so this is my first time posting on this thing...
i've been reading every ones coments for the past cuple o days and i spent about 10 hrs this week end lookn for the gdam cog in union square,

i even typed some coordinates to some where of castro, (the gay side o town ) n looked from 2 am last night till 8 am this morning, then i took a power nap and got up at 10 to finesh h-work for class at noon.

in class i was tryn to comunicate with yal but i didnt know how to finalize my account (dumb i know) any ways i wanted to get out of class early enough to beet bush master but my g-dam group projuct kept me till 3 i got to the berkly lybreary shortly after and as i was going up the stairs when my friend txt'd me sayn some one just found it! i just wanted to let you guys know that haven all these cogs over here in CA is more of a curse!

There really wasn't any need to waste so much time in Union Square on the weekend. We've known pretty much since Wednesday night that the COG was missing. Maybe you didn't read those posts which is unfortunate since you wasted so much time. There was also a picture of it's precise location which would have taken you right to the spot immediately, hardly any looking involved but again... it's been gone since last Monday when i initially looked for it.

As for the other locations, there isn't one in the Castro. People sometimes assume a group of numbers are GPS coordinates and they aren't. So you were looking for something that wasn't there. Likewise if you went to the Santa Clara park, there's no cog there either.

There is a different thread in the LastDay forum that lists the GPS coordinates that are official. You should also pay attention to SixOkay's twitter, that's where the GPS coords are coming from. The marketing company hides them, sends Six the GPS coords, Six posts them in his twitter and then it's a mad dash to find them.

I know dude! Looking while drunk is the worst, because everything is shiny and glittery. On Saturday when I was looking I thought I found the union square one, but I couldn't see straight so I had to walk up and touch it only to realize it was a plastic cup lid thing. ;(

But it was a nice feeling of victory for a few seconds.

Well, i'm not saying i wouldn't go out again but it's distance from me would have a much higher consideration factor now that i already have one :D

As for what it unlocked, i have no idea. To be honest i'm not even using the LastDay website at all, i'm just in it for the hunt. The LastDay website doesn't load for me, it just sits there at a black screen. I think someone said it unlocked Carmine or something, not sure. I gave the code to Waterborn to type in yesterday since it was another hour before i was able to get infront of a computer again, so he did that. Whatever it unlocked should be unlocked.

COG DIMENSIONS:

The gear is 3 inches in diameter tooth to tooth.
The teeth are ~.5 inches
The metal ring is another ~ .5 inches
and the inside hole diameter is ~1.5 inches

Anyone good at math is going to find a .5 inch discrepancy between the total diameter and the sum of the parts. That's because my calipers are packed and that's the only way to measure curves accurately. But the 3 inch diameter is pretty accurate since that was flat edge to flat edge.

Just so you have a sense of size of what you're looking for out there.

Hey folks, just checking in on my break. Looks quiet so far. In response to Bushmaster's comment, the CSID unlocked a body ID on one of the tabs. Some folks stated that it looked like Carmine, but I have alot of trouble seeing anything on that site, very dark. If anyone knows how to lighten up the site, it would be greatly appreciated.

Now back to work for me. I am monitoring SixOkay's Twitter by phone, so hopefully I won't miss any major announcments. :)

I had another dream about a cog tag location last night. I kid you not.

So it was this photo of a camp ground or something dealing with the woods. There were about 5 or 6 evergreen trees in the back ground and there was one tree that was knocked over in front of the 6 other trees. In the center of the picture about half way between where the picture was taken and the knocked down tree was a white rabbit Pinata sitting on the ground (In the center of the photo). The cog tag was back on the left of the picture by the knocked down tree under a branch and it was standing up on one of its edges.

This I think is the 3rd dream I've had about finding one of these things...I really need to find one or I think I'm going to be plagued with these dreams for the rest of my life.
