Unable to log on

Yeah, when I check my connection, sometimes it says there is one, so I proceed to sign in, and it says there's no internet connection. The ethernet cable is in, internet works fine on PC (hence how I can type this now) but I am unable to connect to Xbox Live. It worked perfectly fine yesterday and I haven't touched any wires/cables since before then. Is this caused by the "update" from Monday? The leaderboards don't work, but is there a connection with my problem?

Is anyone else having similar difficulties?

(I know this is under multiplayer, but I posted it here because it may be connected with the leaderboards problem).

Yeah I'm having the same problem at the moment and theres also a thread on the XBL forums. Apparently it's something to do with the update on Monday. Some people have said their XBL has been fine for 10 mins, then disconnects for a while then it's ok then disconnects again.

I was just in the middle of a game of Gears with everything working fine then it said that I had been disconnected. Checked my ethernet cable, ran the tests and it said there was a problem with XBL.

Mine started working, then randomly signed me off. Epic staff, we could do with a news update about this phenomenon please?
