truely hope you can convert all the official mp into this tdm type....;)
just one question: is this map the same rule as spcorruption? choose player and then play as long as you can?

If this goes well, I'll leave converting the MP maps to you or Kantham. My work on Sanctuary was...pretty bad.

kantham is busy his own lance map, so currently burned is the only one can do this convertion...
anyway, really hope they can focus on making tdm bot maps from these official mp,
since the map design is really great,and also can save a lot of time building a new map...:)

Hey Kantham I Like The Maps Great Fun.... Oh Yeah Ive Figured Out How to Make The Locusts Healable/Revive When DBNO/Evade Close Range Attacks/And Taunt You When In There Line OF Sight/ I Will Be Releasing GridlockWithBots Hopefully By the End Of This Week.. I Have A Question Though Why Did You Take Out The AI Weapon Pickups?
It seems he has, I would very much enjoy seeing improved ai, It seems this map may sustain our bloodlust for gow 2 just long enough until its release.

This is just awesome. The PC Mod community is getting better and better. I am playing a lot of Kantham's work and his works are just brilliant. I am so happy for BurnedInfernal's mastermind. I can't wait!

Sounds great. My only cons with the visual PP effect is that it looks a little too plain brown.

The red cloud in the third screen (with statue) is an excellent touch. Glad to see a new version of this map.

The lighting & colour palate looks very close to Gears of War 2, hopefully the transition turns out well keep up the good work.

Looks promising BurnedInfernal. Will try this map out now and will give my feedback after some tryouts. ;)
EDIT: I for once in my life thought i was playing Gears of War 2 on the PC because the theme being used in this map is the same as GoW2. Hehe nice:P
[Improvements]
Whenever i start the game it stutters a lot because the game is rendering the textures but it never happens on any LNC maps by Kantham which is actually weird, maybe you should try to optimize it like Kantham did like i do not know how he did it.
Somehow the WarInput disable my console so i've just putted the old one back. I made a backup to ensure safety incase some **** screws up.
[Conclusion]
To my conclusion this is just a beta map, actually a good beta one. I am enjoying this map over and over again even though it sucks to wait a little bit for the rendering part. Apart from that, i had a lot fun. This and Kantham latest map will keep me busy for a while.
Keep up the good work BurnedInfernal cannot wait for the final release. :)

Thanks.. The text files i added allow the ai to shoot full clips of the lancer not just burst shots, but in the warinput BenableUI has to be set to true for it to work.. i think.and they will only fire like that on insane mode

Was kinda great.
Goods:
Enemies tossing some random remarks
Enemies doing evac moves, though it's glitchy when they're downed.
I'm impressed you got all this figured out (the INI file calling) Would be nice if you could explain how you got the execution rules up, and how to get the Warzone ones (Can kill enemies downed from distance) and where these "rules" are hidden.
Cons:
I don't really like the fact that they can get up when the execution setting is still there, you need to advance, it just makes the lancer even more useless. Weapon grabbing is still the same; bots get new inventory with fake pickup animation, while you as the player, do the normal pickup. No way to fix this I know. :p
Maybe you could set something up that when you walk over a weapon static mesh, you trigger the player to get new inventory just like you did for the AI, then set the re-trigger delay to 50 or so.
The Boomer, it was really fun, however: No health recharge, 3 ammo only, then melee with nothing else to do.

Maps is stunning and has a very vibrant shine that i think Gears 2 wont achieve, this is my new favorite Bot Map right next to Orion.
i cant pick what i dont like atm everything is running fine and i like the touch of Gears of War 2 with the extra Boom ammo and torque bow at the tower.
good work BurnedInternal your Hard Work has truly paid off and i cant believe its a beta, i feel like i gotta pay you some dough for this as the quality you have produced is through the roof. EPIC SIGN THESE GUYS NOW

Happened to me aswell. It actually started to happen when i deleted the WarInput and pasted the old one back. I'll check back again just going to copy it back and see if it keeps crashing/freezing.

Haha it is like the good old movies where the creator or ''creators'' create an army of machines and then it screws up and go against the creator him/herself and destroys humanity *Cough* matrix *Cough*
No serious.. The map didn't freeze when i copied the WarInput. So i've just played for like an hour and no screw up so far. I'll log on the game next time and see if it freezes.

It also comes with a troika. Too bad the recoil is atrocious.

well, i played this map witout any trouble currently, loaded the map from console, i also use cheats to get more ammo ,
dear burnedinternal, i just hope the map could be a lot brighter in final version, the map is dark!! .thx!!~~..
another thing is when i want to chainsaw AI, he just jump away regardless he know me or not, i think the original normal
action in spcorruption is better, if he didn't notice me closing, just no evac moves and remains stay,then i can successefully saw him....
and sometimes even AI is dead, he jump away and died, looks strange....
and i also agree with kantham that AI can get up when the execution setting is still there,this is not good, this just make the lancer useless, i just suggest remain the same as spcorruption style...
and maybe we can choose the boomer when the map start?........
finally there are some fps drop down, kantham's map optimized well, hope this map optimize a lot in final version ,

Hey Burned. This Beta is amazing! The added features definitely keep Bot TDM fresh, although you might call this one Bot Execution. ;)
I prefer the Execution-style gametype in this map personally. But it might make some players happy to have a separate release of the map with the Warzone gametype like Corruption.
Excellent work with the custom game settings! This Gridlock conversion is top notch!

I have only a few of issues..
I've already mentioned about the impossible sniper shots in one of Kantham's threads so I won't go into that again.
I'm on the fence on the "look" of the map. I think I like the old Gridlock better... but variety is nice also. Im just not a big fan of Sephia colored maps. Won't stop me form playing it though by any means.
The friendly bots will not execute the enemy. I've always prefered Warzone anyway.
Framerate was really bad on this map. But thats probably because my PC is a POS. I'm looking into an upgrade. Framerate was fine on the original Gridlock and on Kantham's maps though.
Is there an end or goal to the map? I played if for a while and never won or lost. Is it just that its not finished?
The bots seem to like to hang around in the spawn area. They would be called Spawn Campers if they were real players for sure.
It is very very very hard to down these guys with a lancer. Much harder than real players. At least it was for me. They seem to be tougher in general which kindof slowed the pace of the game down which actually was kindof good in a way. But the Lancer is all but useless.
Other than those things It seems to be great and alot of fun. I certanly look forward to your final version. Good work.

My Lancer is working fine. The primary fire downs enemies, the bayonet cuts them into little pieces. There must be a lot of Warzone fans in here :D

I prefer Annex most... Then Warzone... Never liked Execution much but I can play it if I have to.
Anyway.. I just played again and my framerate was ALOT better. The only thing I did differently was choose 4 enemies instead of 5 and everything was smoother. Dunno why... Lancer seemed easier this time too. But man Its really hard to Saw these guys or tag them with nades.. they are slippery little buggers.
Another thing I noticed is that the bots will rarely climb stairs so theres hardly ever any traffic in the higher areas like there is in a real Live match.
The sparking wire in the center of the map is a nice touch and the drop the bombs thing is cool too.
The Sephia is growing on me.... :D

You don't need to go that far... Just make it so they are not psychic.
The more I play the more I love. I just played as the Boomer.. That is too funny. He doesnt have enough ammo though and he whines like a little girl when he gets hurt.. LoL. I tried picking up other weapons with the boomer but when he picks up he gets stuck.. hehe..
Swatting people is alot of fun though...:D

In an effort to help I'd like to point out some more bugs...
If you play as the Troika Gunner some of the sounds seem to be missing. For example when he reloads you cannot hear it. You also cannot hear the "thud" when he takes cover. Dunno if that was just me.. but you may want to check into that. Its probably becuase he was never meant to do anything other than man a troika and the sounds were never added to the original game.
Also, If your playing as the Boomer and you get your head snipped off you start spectating another locust bot and cannot return to your player and you have to restart the map. At least thats what happened to me.
Having loads of fun playing this so I don't mind Beta testing for you... :D
P.S. - I'd like to see an easier way to trigger the "Drop the Bombs" and "Play as Boomer" rewards. I can't always seem to hit it correctly. Mabye I'm doing it wrong I dunno.

I think you have to hold G first and then press Q for the bombs Ashrak.
Also, I recall getting stuck in coverslots with the Boomer on two or three occasions (had to suicide out); not sure if this occurs everywhere. He needs a little polish, but otherwise is a blast :D.
I wonder if the enemy team could trigger these abilities?

1. Troika Gunner no sound when reload weapon and action...
and no breath sound when running, i think, and boomer stuck when cover,

You can hit F to break out of cover if your stuck. It worked for me.
I think you have to hold G first and then press Q for the bombs Ashrak.

OK, Ive managed to play it through the editor (through the console its the same with MP lobby). Great work! Pretty much what I had in mind some time ago.
How do I close the MP lobby in kismet? Is it something hard, or would it break the mechanics (of the bots/whole level/idea)?

I Doubt it would work on this map but the way to do it is find the mp lobby scene and use Close Scene Attached to a Console Event...And Use The Console To Close It...

This may be a little off-topic but anyway.
Is it possible to shorten or remove the pause at the end of a round ("LOCUST/GOW won the match...." and who killed the last enemy) ??? When I play a 1-on-1 match on LAN it gets annoying after a short while.

i love the execution settings especially with the 5 seconds down, it makes going for the kill alot more exciting & intense than just the cheap instant kill.

Horde is looking good so far. :) Glad to see the checkpoints, and the soundtrack is a nice touch. I got one crash so far after killing my second boomer in maybe the 3rd or 4th wave (in-game). Good job Burned. :D

Great job Burned. Performance on this one seems better than the origianl TDM version.
I was unable to get the ammo on the back of the truck at the middle of the map like I can on the TDM version.
Shortly after killing the 2 boomers the game crashed.. Not sure why...
Otherwise a great effort... keep it up..
I'd like to see a polished off TDM version ...:cool:

so you crashed at the same spot as liquid ? well i've fixed the problem with not being able to get the ammo already just trying to figure out why it crashes ??

I forgot to add the checkpoints text file to my program files if that could make any difference. it shouldnt matter if you add that or not my gfx card went out during making this ... i compressed the files into a zip maybe compressing the Folder causes errors to the map files by decreasing the file sizes ?? idk man if its crashing your system and no other map has done that before id suggest staying away from it... :( only thing ive ran into is theres delays that loop to make sure the boomers spawn because sometimes they wont so i set a delay for 1 second to repeat untill they spawn and then stop the delays... but other than that i have no clue what the problem could be...

I wouldn't expect the loop to have anything to do with it. I've done lower than 1 second without crashing. But I don't know your script that well, and you have a lot going on. :D I'll check on it again later.
Another thing I have noticed is a very persistent screen tear which I haven't seen in other maps. Could just be a performance thing, since I crashed once on a stock map recently. Probably time to do some dusting. :)

finally i played the new horde, gameplay is really fun.
the annoying evade roll removed when chainsaw enemy, thx burned!! and in some others' horde maps ,if we can't revive teammate in time, we die, glad to see no such problem in this one.
now more type enemies, long waves,more player choice, thx!! currently no bugs met.
no crash at all, killing boomer, berserker, etc. only meet some framerate issue, but better than original tdm.
also i hope less checkpoint in later version, maybe every 5 waves is better, i think, since 1 wave is short.
and we can choose locust as player in future, all types of enemies from single campaign,
thx for bring us this new horde man,thx!!!
and i don't use the custom files, just the map, so maybe that's the reason no crash...

i guess try hosting it in versus and when it says playing co-op select yes then have hawkz join your session in progress if thats possible ? did you already try that ?

The versus hosting doesn't work. the second player joins but gets stuck once the map loads.
I am able to host a legit co-op by reaching a checkpoint on SP, and then Hosting LIVE list Co-op from the Last Checkpoint. The problem is, the other player always crashes at the loading screen when they join through the server browser. We are trying to join while the Binaries files are removed to make sure there isn't a conflict with LIVE.
Edit: Unless someone else has done this successfully and knows how to do it, I may just try to put together a small test level to see if co-op is really possible. If so there may be a problem with the map. Thanks to Hawkzzeye for trying this out.

just replace it and if you still crash cut and paste to your desktop the folder gears of war for windows from your documents run the game if all works just replace the custom maps with the old one from your desktop if you still crash you might have to reinstall the game

Well, co-op would be nice, but so would finding a way to add this to the menu. Who knows, maybe Epic might even release it with the next update. A new gametype and all. Aw ****, who am I kidding, Epic doesn't give a crap, but it IS very professional (no glitches except maybe co-op).

Being able to modify the UI would be awesome, but UT3 is better for that.

my game also crashed after killing the second boomer. well, im not sure if i killed it because after i killed the first one, i threw a nade at the second one, and right after the nade exploded, my game crashed. probably because the second boomer died from the explosion (thats where other people crashed).
edit: i now crashed during wave 2 as well. its weird cos its not the first custom map that crashes for me. the single campaign and versus matches dont crash tho, so it HAS to be a problem with the custom maps.
i have the hungarian version and title update 1 and 2 werent released for it, could that be the problem?

it could be that you dont have the updates because it was created with both patches... but ive tried cooking the map and failed it keeps saying ive modified a cooked package In (RB Prison) so ill have to find out where that is in the map to be able to cook it i believe thats the problem unless i did actually did do something wrong in kismet.:rolleyes:
