Custom Gamer Picture

hi, i have a friend in gears of wr (on windows- LIVE) and he has the gears symbol but its white and thats not one of the options in the gamer pics...unless im wrong...how can i get a custom gamer picture i already have a couple pictures in mind but i cant find the folder that says "Picture" or w.e its never easy >.< someone help?
