Well, I am disgusted.

I have a really nice surround system, including a twelve hundred watt subwoofer from Cerwin Vega.

Every single time I get killed, when I click 'load last checkpoint' the game produces this bass drop sound makes my subwoofer go 'pop!'.

It's not my rig, it's lazy developers not testing beyond computer speakers. Yes, some of us can push twelve hundred watts continious into a 21 inch sub. That single sound was recorded with a level too high, so now it's clipped and distorted in the recording, something no stereo anywhere can accomdate for.

Im sure it sounds just spiffy on $20 walmart speakers, tho.

So I called support, and was informed that 'this game is intended to be played on a computer' and that 'any application beyond computer speakers was never implied'

And so it's we dont care son, and oh, were keeping your money, too. Really, thanks guys.

So since I can get exactly zero help from epic and microsoft, my question is this...

anybody got any idea how I might disable that single sound? Is there a file somewhere I can replace with say recorded silence, so it wont trash on my stereo?

Thanks, Epic. Wonderful job you folks are doing. You'll pardon my sarcasm, but I just threw away two hours on the phone I'll never get back, to be informed the only part of me you care about is my wallet. Really don't see myself buying GoW2, as a result. And the irony is, I really like the game, it's just poor support and general feeling that you people dont care enough to return my phone calls.
