First some basics about my setup.
QX9770 quad 1600 FSB at 3.2 (not OC'd yet) on MSI X48C
4GB @ 1600 Mhz
Vista Utlimate 64 (updated to current as of this post)
2 X Radeon HD 4870's GDR5 in XFire (not OC'd yet)
Catalyst 8.8
DirectX 10 most current
Creative XFI PCI
Koolance EXOS cooled
HANNS.G HG281D 28" 1080p HD HDMI'd
VelociRaptor Drive 10,000 RPM 140 GB SYTRIN fan Cooled
3 other HD's not running yet because can't get raid 5 working
2 Blue Ray/HD DCD writers/readers not hooked up yet.

After doing a complete reinstall I found that after changing the video settings (maxing almost all) casued the game to lockup with stuttering sound. This happens with all games for windows titles.
I'm also not sure which cfg file is actually in charge of the game at startup so I can't really change those to get myself back to default setting to try again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
