Gears of war has stopped working/ vista 32bit

Hi, i get this error always when i try to run the game, and i cant get even to main menu (nor start the game)

My specs shouldn't be the problem:

AMD X2 4400+ @ 2.4ghz
Sapphire HD4870
3GB DDR2

I might need to return the game to the store,and i so wanted to play this :( i've tried everything i could from the faq, updating drivers, patching, patching windows live, running as admin...so far nothing..

Ok, i managed to get the game running, but then i tried to change the default resolution ( 640x800 or whatever) to 1680x1050, and the game crashed and i had to unistall it (wouldnt start again) , only then it'd work again, seems like i can't change resolution, and low resolution= crap looking.....any solutions to this ?:*(

I can run other games easy with 1680x1050

Ok, now another thing came up, after trying to change reso in gow, it messed up my DX10 *none of DX10 games worked anymore* , after reboot everything waas fine, again....

When you say you can run "other" games w/ no prob, do you mean some pokemon roms? also you say you get this "error" and never specify. You need to be more specific if you ever wish to get any help. So.. what error are you getting?

BTW I am running a 768mb RAM, on integrated bull**** Nvidia **** card and can slowly, VERY SLOWLY run this game, something seems as if it HAS to be set wrong.

thanks ^^ I only have like 2 games anyway, DMC4 and mass effect, dunno if their spec is close to GOW , but they run pretty good. but i think i should get better than 600x400, or whatever it was... anyway

1440x900 working, 1680x1050 will crash + this is windowed because picture messed while in fullscreen, all maxed+DX10 and 4XAA should run 1680x1050 easy.

HELP I have a similar problem.

The game was working fine, but then I tried changing some settings, enabling DX10, AA and some other stuff. Now the game doesn't start anymore :(
I tried rebooting, reinstalling etc.

nvm I found the solution by deleting the folders in my stuff.

Ive had problems like this check your frame rates on your graphics cards make sure there like 60. Idk if that might help Im havign an issue of not being able to recover my gt
