View Full Version : Playing imported Weapon help please

Hi,
new member here
i've kinda got to grips with most of the basic functions of the gow editor but can't for the life of me work out how to give the player character a custom weapon or even swap an architype for an existing weapon- i've watched/read all the tutorials i can find on it and done some exhaustive searches on this site but all i've seen seems to be for the unreal editor and doesn't really fully translate
what i need to know is:
a] is it possible- i'm sure it is though best to check before i spend another couple of days/weeks pulling my hair out
b] bone/helper placing and naming conventions from max for a replacement shotgun- do i just approximate the cog shotgun bone placement?
c] kismet specifics on swapping the weapon- ideally from startup when i swap out the player character for my custom mesh
d] the coding that needs to be done if any- and where i can find the files that need to be ammended
e] anything else i should know to make my mesh appear in the level

i don't want to cook the level really- just play using my imported weapon with the player character in the editor

I don't think you'll get many posts in this thread.Personally i can't help you.Just re post this in a more looked at thread.And welcome to the forums.
