View Full Version : Another Gears Twist - Could Work?
Well, I have found alot of theorys on the Locust - but one no-one thought of was this:
Imagine if this happened. Thousands of years ago, locust and humans roamed the earth - oblivious to each other. (Cavemen) The humans became smarter, stronger and began to communicate. The locust lost there grip on society and fell undergroud for peace. The locust, scared, stayed hidden till arond the time the pendulum wars started, until a leader (Queen Locust) rose up to orginize the locust, take the humans technology from the hollow (The humans dumping ground) and make it there own. Then one day, they fought back. Emergencie Day.
This is a theory - most likely wrong - but give me your opinions.
I hope its brand new.

Thousands would work if you meant tens of thousands, and this happened to take place on Earth. I was under the impression Sera was a colony of Earth...has that been implied, ever?
Anyways, not trying to bash your theory but there are so many things wrong with it.
1) Locust would have been detected by modern technology.
2) Locust could not survive underground, being the same size they are now, there simply isn't enough food.
3) Possible cave paintings of locust.
4) Locust hiding from humans? Humans have always been smart but in a 1vs1 without weapons locust would tear aparts humans.
5) How to build stuff underground?
6) Humans haven't gotten much stronger. Smarter, abstract thinking, yes, but not stronger.
7) Would be interesting to see a new theory though that incorporates all these.

correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Gears of war take place on another planet that humans colonized called Sera?

Um... they are on an alien planet and more than likely came from Earth so this is pretty much a completely useless thread.

I don't think that's what happened, because I don't think there were humans on Sera during the caveman times...
