Anyone else notice that the Horde Achivements say ANY DIFFICULTY on them. So, that means you can put it on Normal or Casual mode and survive all 50 levels, and still get the Achivements?
BTW: I am not ranting, Ilove these achivements, now I can play the game and enjoy it, and still get the achivements.

I agree, I would have liked an achievement like, beat Horde on Insane, or even beat Horde on insane solo! The current ones are ok though, if people want to prove they beat something on the hardest difficulty I'm sure there will be leaderboards or even a gamerpic.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Horde is a ranked-only game mode and there are leaderboards.

What if it turns out Casual is pretty much insane when you get to stage 50!!!!

Honestly I believe they re-edited horde and made it WAY to easy.
Marth & I agree it should be a joke(Or atleast to easy). I need to find the verification post from "Joe Graf" saying "we have beaten horde on insane." Currently they are seeing who can get the farthest solo. This is a huge disappointment , it was definitely over hyped.

True, but maybe they'll be a gamerpic for insane, so there'll be something to differentiate those who do get it.

You won't find that post because he never said it was done with ease -- he just said he did it and the new challenge was to do in on insane by yourself.

Freeman, even without the "ease" in the statement, he still said they completed horde. You and I both know just by hearing that is not promising news. With that being said, I'm sure it will be a let down. Nothing would be more fun, than everyone being incapable of being INSANE/HORDE note the key element of "exclusiveness", everything seems way to player/casual friendly this time around.

I will try out Horde by myself and IF I am able reach Wave 40 with ease, then I will ask to be removed from the Horde gauntlet. I joined the team, because I didn't think it was possible to beat Horde by going solo.
If it turns out to be easier then it was hyped up to be, what's the point of this competition?
Plus, the difficulty of Horde increases every 10 waves. That doesn't really sound challenging, considering that there are 50 waves.

Don't forget that it saves every 5 waves, I think....
Whether thats for if you die at wave 37 you can start at 35 again, I dunno. But I'm still hoping Horde is as hard as we've been led to believe.

A checkpoint rather than a save, a save means you can stop and start two days later. A checkpoint means the people you are with at that point in time will be able to start over again from a certain wave. ( I hope, break your points or something to that effect.)

We've beaten it. Right now the challenge is to see how far you can go alone on insane. That's crazy hard.

It's essentially the same thing though, a checkpoint and a save.

Yeah but according to OXM they can't get past level 10. ANd EPIC can only get past Level 25. So maybe it won't be so easy.

That's why I'm hoping there is a gamer picture. Anybody can beat it on casual, but I hope insane is very difficult, but do-able and is rewarded with a secret gamer picture.

It's not just this that has a problem with achievements, it's the majority of games. Achievements aren't achievements any more, it doesn't show anything off or how good you are, it's just "oh, you completed the game, wow", that's an achievement? Would I buy the game if I wasn't planning on beating the game? Unreal Tournament 3 has some proper achievements like 'get a life', one of my friends have it and it sounds like something to show your good at UT3, hopefully Gears of War 2 will have some proper achievements.
