Horde mode Process

In Horde mode, as the rounds go on, do the Locust get bigger in number, or harder to defeat, difficulty wise? Do the squads get bigger or smarter?

Bigger as in more to defeat to get to next round, not neccesarily more on screen, thought it could be both


and I would imagine they would have to get smarter, or else it would be pointless.

Also I think they might recieve more health as they go on, but dont quote me on this.

Seems pretty logical, I think it would be sweet to have to fight a load of drones, a few Berserkers and a brumak all smart as hell in the later rounds.

I dont know about berserkers, you'd need the HOD and that thing is so gay...

I don't think the locusts changes difficulty (after each wave) if you don't change difficult. [Casual, Normal, Hardcore or Insane]

I think they'll come in lots of varieties. etc Sniper drones may appear later, Berzekers, and so on.

yea they will probably get smarter first then start growing in numbers then harder locust come along like boomers and berserkers, at least i hope thats how it works

Is it possible to play local Horde mode? Aka Splitscreen since Bot is not supported?

I don't have the link but as each match goes on, Cliff had mentioned that they get a +1 modifier for accuracy, health, and intelligance. The squad sizes may get bigger, but not by much when you have the bots getting insane, you know what i mean?

Nah, it'll go my quantity of locust, then it'll go by quality of locust. They Locust always send in the weak ones first, then as soon as there gone, the stronger and smarter ones will come out to play.

I thought Horde would be like this:
Round 1- Wretches
Round 2- Lambent Wretches
Round 3- Drones
Round 4- Specific Drone type e.g. grenadier, sniper

And so on until each enemy type has had a round, then they all get mixed together like Round 50 would have say 2 Brumaks 20 wretches and 30 drones.

I only presumed this since the mode seems similar to the Palantir of Sauron/Saruman levels from the Lord of the Rings games on the original Xbox.

My brothers roommate is a manager at our local gamecrazy and took a trip to vegas where he got to play all the games coming out in 08, he played some gears2 campaign and horde and told me how it was.
