They work for the Company or Video game stores and can raid the shipments on arrival. I know people will and I'll be getting messages for days in advance of my friends rubbing it in.

Yes. It's no surprised one of the most anticipated games will be leaked. It happened to Halo 3 and it happened to Gears of War 1.

People get early games by street vendors or some game stores releasing the game a few days before it is actually should be released.

Alot of stores want the money, so they do this.

Or a copy gets leaked and then people download the game from the internet onto their Xbox.

Well, usually people who have connections in the industry, are relatives to workers, or are game editors usually get the game beforehand. It depends really, EPIC might decide to lay low on giving out handouts before the release date.

My local EbGames told me to come pick it up early on Nov 1st. I told him it came out on the 7th,but the guy said come pick it up on the 1st,he showed me the computer screen..so..maybe I get it early?

I'm not the one responsible for these things entirely. The games simply get shipped a few days early and I purchase a copy. I'm clearly over exaggerating my post when I use words like "smuggle."

I pre-order most of my games from a Retail store thats based here (UK) called Game. They have a system for there shop members, called first to play, where the game gets sent out the day before its release if you have pre-ordered and paid for it.

Hooligunn is a UK man too, as am I. I think Hooldigunn hates GAME though, don't know why lol. I've pre-ordered off them through their website but I can't check its status in my account, unless you can only do that when its been dispatched, I've never pre-ordered from GAME before.

But I work for Tesco (oh the shame) and we sell Xbox games, it's where I got my Gears 1 (with 10% staff discount XD). So hopefully if my store is selling it, they get it a day early and I can talk my boss or the security guys into giving me a copy early.

5 days before hand? I thought it was a day before dispatch, oh well. I hope my order with them is fine because I'm worried it hasn't gone through properly, its not in my account anywhere even though I have a confirmation e-mail from them.
