I have been trying to figure out if the new NVidia drivers that support PhysX are being utilized in GOW. When I look through the .ini's I find that everything to do with PhysX is disabled. Does anyone know how to force GOW to use hardware GPU PhysX? Maybe the PhysX cooking and core files need to be replaced with the new ones from NVidia? I have tried doing this myself, but no matter what I do I end up with a broken game. I see many people on other forums stating that the new drivers enabled PhysX and got rid of all their stutters, but that has to be because of driver improvements, not PhysX. GOW is not enabling it, period. I know it can be enabled, all the stuff is there. If you throw in an Ageia card it should work, and NVidia's new drivers are supposed to be working for all Ageia PhysX enabled products. Does anyone know how to enable this?

For some reason, my sig is not showing. Because of that I thought that I better add that yes, I do have an NVidia PhysX capable card. 8800GT 512 (G92).

I have played with the PhysX card for quite some time and do believe that Hardware PhysX is used in Gears.
My card only lights up when the card is in use and it lights for gears.
As far as the Nvidia PhysX go I do not know for sure.
I have played with the ini and no matter what I set at it does start my physX card up when Gears launches and runs.
I use a BFG PCI PhysX card 128mb.
When gears was first released early PhysX drivers did not work with it my card would not initialize when Gears started. I think after Driver version PhysX_7.09.13_SystemSoftware it then supported Gears of War atleast that was when I noticed my card would startup when I was playing Gears.
I had many debates about it and I think after awhile someone from Ageia "Now Nvidia" stepped in and said at some level gears does use the PhysX hardware. Don't quote me on that it was awhile back.
