As promised, GearsofWar.com has the details about all the awesome Gears 2 stuff going on at PAX this year. I'll be at the booth the whole weekend, so if you're going to be at the show, please come by and say hello!

Pete created many of the Gears universe’s most popular vehicles and weapons, not to mention the gore system. You know those beautiful blood geysers that spew out of a Locust’s neck after every headshot? Yeah, that’s all Pete.

Oh, man. Pete rocks for creating the best headshot effects in gaming! =D

Did he also work on the UT3 gore?

Hello all, this is Pete. I just got back from PAX and wanted to drop by and say hi. I wanted to thank everybody that came out and played the game. It was a ton of fun and I got owned quite a few times by some of the players. The signings were really fun and it was incredible to meet all of the fans. We wouldn't be here without you. :)

Yea, I did the 3d modeling for the weapons, a lot of the vehicles, and all that beautiful gore, but wanted to re-iterate that it's a huge team effort. All of my models are based off of the amazing concepts of James Hawkins and textured by a few of the best texture artists in the industry. The gore was a huge team effort with particle effects artists, programmers, texture artists, etc. And of course all of the art is directed by our art lead Chris Perna. With the complexity of todays games it takes a ton of people contributing their speciality to make the finished product what it is.

Time to get some rest, thanks again everyone for a great event! :)

Thanks again for coming out, Pete! It was a great show.

PAX was a really fun show, and the turnout was amazing. Thanks to everyone who came by. I couldn't believe how long the lines were to play all weekend long, and the turnout for the signings was fantastic.

Thanks everyone!

i have to admit, and not ashamed to say that i dont care about the multiplayer. it just pisses me off about having to listen to a load of stupid spoilt 10 year old kids thinking they are all hard just because they are playing an overrage game. (not like i dont *cough* *cough*) anyways, i prefer to buy games just for the single player campaign and maybe play multiplayer with my mates because i have two controllers! :D

Sooo, yeah, suits me! :D

I found that connector you were looking for
Cindy, is this the thing you were looking for?
www.liangdianup.com/computeraccessories_1.htm
It's on the list of computer accessories and parts. They have the DVI video thing to convert that jap monitor to work with your other computer. Just about any other kind of wire adaptor, usb connectors, monitor extension wires, ps2 extention wires, and all kinds of female and male swap connectors and things that I think would help your shop. If that above link don't work then goto www.lducompany.com and click on computer accessories. Let me know if that is what you need and give me your email address again.

Ah man, I'm sad now. Right when I see PAX '08, I always get disappointed that I missed it. :(

Welp, I'll just have to wait for a while again, because I'm almost certain that I'm going to PAX '09! I'll be there for ya Epic Games!
