They were all good for the most part if you like the games. I'll prolly get it eventually out of boredom. Especially since i have a long break between college classes. Besides, its a book on gears of war. How bad could it be. I'm such a lurker. I can't believe i came out haha

I can't wait. I havent read the Karen Traviss Star Wars books, but if she is as good as everyone says this should be one hell of a book. I will probably read it throughout the whole school year.

That's saying a lot, because I rarely ever finish reading books. Hell, I never even finished the last HP book and I've been reading it for over a year now. My sister finished the last 2 Harry Potter books in 5 hours. :eek:

Completely agree. The first 3 Halo books: The Fall of Reach, The Flood(pretty much Halo:CE with minor backstory too), and First Strike were all amazing. The Onyx one was a little wierd and drifted off of the classic Halo "path" but it was still enjoyable. I hope that this Gears book is equally amazing.

I definitely want to buy it. I liked the Gears story and how much information they left out which can be expanded. Hopefully this book will answer a lot more questions and ask a lot more too. Karen Traviss is a fantastic author so we should all have faith. She did a great job with the Republic Commando books.

I'm a big fan of Epic's work, and if I could actually make myself read, I'd certainly get it. (I'm really interested in those full-size Lancer replicas.) Still, I hate reading and I think I'll stick with playing the games.

honestly i never buy books unless they are EGM , or OXM or even game informer.
but anything that has anything to do with Epic or Gears of War is a MUST HAve for me.
so i will definately buy the book to keep hold until gears 2 releases

Yes, Me and 2 of my friends are going to buy 1 copy. Splitting the amount of the novel between us. Which is:£4.89 from Waterstones btw. And then we are all going to read it. I of course as more of a gears fanatic, going to read it first and so on and so forth.

I've got better things to read immediately, but perhaps, like with both Mass Effect and Halo, I'll nab the book(s) and read them in due time.

I'm not much a fan of Karen Traviss's writing though; I was really turned off by City of Pearl. It just felt so...generic.
