Share you theories on how the locust came to be

my theory is that during the Pendulum, perhaps Dr. Helen Cooper was experimenting with imulsion and was trying to make new units on the battlefield and then while making them the imulsion that contained the new units dna burst and splashed on Dr. Cooper and she mutated into the locust queen
and the workers who got mutated became drones and different types, but only Dr. coopers apperence was effected her voice and thinking was still in place, she quickly made enough and the breed more and more and dug tunnels to reach more imulsion then, when they realized the humans were threating the imulsion they had emergence day and thats where gears kicks of, thats just what i think

I think though,that Dr.Cooper possibly discovered a new breed of Creatures,then,injected them with her DNA and they evolved into the Locust horde...

I'd rather have it that the mystery of the Locust Horde is never explained. No offense to anyone, but some of these theories come off extremely campy.

I think the Locust are just a creature that evolved underground and lived there for millions of years and got fed up with it.

Or possibly a certain group of people were forced to live underground in some sort of exile, and evolved to better suit their surroundings.

scientists believe that the swarming phase is due to overcrowding of locasts..this triggers a swarming phase..like what we have seen of locasts to this day..and with the hollows consuming much of the underground..they had no place to go but up...watch the dialog for the queen at the end..they do not know why we wage this war...listen to what she says and think about this.
the history of locast have plague mankind since biblical days...and did you notice the green plants?? its in the game its underground and what the rockworms feed from.
What we see in the game is nothing more than epics twist to history. in my opinion. not some experimental science test...

This makes sense but it also doesn't. You say locust were created out of humans exposed to imulsion but what about the big locusts like brumaks, corpsers and such. What creature was exposed to imulsion. Besides why did the corpser die when he fell into the imulsion in GoW 1? Wouldn't it make sense if it became uglier or something
