i know there gonna have bots in gears of war 2, but are people gonna be able to put them in online games?
that wouldnt be very fun.
you'd want to play with freinds online, not bots.
if theyre online compatible i think it would ruin the multiplayer of gears a little.
who else tthinks bots should be for offline only?

Seeing as though in 90% of my attempted Gears online matches it was me alone vs. 3 or 4 team-stacking glitchers, I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Yeah they could fill in for players that have left the match early.

I'm not sure. But I think Epic will make it to where the host could switch bots on, and off. Although I know that bots will in fact be online to fill in empty spaces, but like I said, the host will probably be able to switch them on and off.

Just so you know, Bots are usually named "Redshirt" with a few random letters and numbers at the end.

Also bots will not be in Horde mode at all, only as enemies, not bot allies.

You will only be able to put bots in custom games if YOU want.. it has been confirmed that they will NOT fill spots in ranked if someone quits out.

The way it worked in UT was the bots would drop out when humans joined your game (with whatever join rules you had, like friends only for example). So I could host a 5 v 5 session with just myself playing and my friends could join and leave. The bots would spawn to fill empty slots, or go to make way for my buddies.

Though I'd be surprised (and overjoyed!) if the 360 could deal with that many bots.

Bots - Custom Player matches... Its good if you wanna work on your shot...

i agree with madfish, UT3's bots were great you didn't have to wait for 10 people to show up to start a game and the game was always full because of the bots

if some one on your team has to go (offline) a bot will takes its play so you wouldn't be down a player

why wouldn't they add a bot if some one drops out thats stupid
