gears 1 community growing?

i just cant handle waiting for this game anymore..i am seriously considering freezing myself and having a friend waking me up in 86 days..(like cartman in south park did but with better results hopefully.
anyone else think the gears 1 community is growing considerably in anticipation of this game? i think it is and its becoming the place to be again.

Quite a few people that were playing competitively in COD4 are going to be making the switch to Gears 2 when it's released so yes it is growing. I think Gears 2 will surpass Halo 3 in sales on it's release.

And that would be because of Halo 3 and COD4 over taking Gears, a lot of people jumped over to those games when they came out....and I guess some from Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2.

yeh i know its community peaked a long time ago i just kinda thought i noticed it growing a lot from say 3 or 4 months ago???

Any game would obviously drop in population but I believe that the community has gotten worse, then better than just down right dropped. It's hard to rely on statistics we don't exactly know.

AYe It seems to keep a steady population even if it goes up and down...wait that made no sense. I mean to say that even if population goes up and down that there is still a steady flow even if a trickle.

I got Gears about 3 months ago and I have used a few 2 day XBox Live trials to play online. It is absolutely amazing. Not only that, the campaign is great and fun in co-op or by yourself. Me and my other friend (gamertag RufousPine) have been spreading the word about Gears at school and there is definitely a great Gears community at school, even for players without Live, so I would say that the Gears community is growing, for sure!

im not sure how big it is now but it will get bigger closer to the release of Gears 2 because alot of people will get excited for GOW 2 and start playing Gears 1

Yeah gears being 4th on the list after 2 years is pretty damn good. I really dont see it going above COD or Halo but i think it could get to 3 before Gears 2 comes out

I saw a thread on here that talked about putting Gears 1 back at the top for like the week before Gears 2 as a side thing ya know.
