dumb question here...

I am running UT3 on a vista machine and can't find the unreal editor? where is it located tried looking in: program/ut3 but all I see are three folders called binaries, engine and Utgame, looked in those folders and nothin. what am I missing here? I thought the editor was included with game? thanks for your help.

the editor should install when you install the game, unlike GearsofWar where you have to select to install it in advanced options. Im running vista too and its found in the start menu>all programs>unreal tournament>unreal tournament 3 editor. Im assuming youve looked here though? I right-clicked on the editor link and opened its file location, its in program files (x86)>Unreal Tournament 3>Binaries although it does select UT3.exe however, which is the game? Do you have folder called EditorRes in Binaries? If things like that are missing maybe try a re-install?

Make a shortcut to the game .exe-file, go to properties and add editor. Run the shortcut.

c:\.....\UT3.exe editor
