Does anybody know if theres gona be a midnight release? and if so are you gona go to it? I'm totally getin mine at midnight if i can

I'm sure there will be, without a doubt.

I'm not usually one for midnight releases. I'm pretty anxious to play this game, but I'm also pretty patient. Plus, I hate even walking into Gamestop. I'll probably just get mine at Best Buy without the hassles of dealing with GS employees.

no kidding i hate gamestop. Ill buy mine the day after the midnight release.

Yep, I pre-order Gears of War there and they had "shipping problem" so they said I had to wait a few days. I walked over to Best Buy and bought it in store so.... Yea Gamestop sucks

I'm best friends with the people that work at the gamestop, 'cause I used to hang out there a lot and I got offered a job.

Stupidly, I didn't take it but there was a reason: basketball...

Oh well. :P The Manager used to go to school wit' my brother's friend's cousin's older brother...

It's on a Friday so What I'm going to do is Go over my Best Friend's house, Run to his house After school, Tell him to run with me to the Gamestop by HIS house, and Buy GoW2.

I'll do whatever to get the Game, EARLY!

Same here Friday Nov 7th comes around head into GS get it and maybe the guide if they have a deal on it and get out.

What's all in a guide? Just a layout of strategies and weapon/map layouts?

It seems like nothing to get, but I just wanna know before I ponder it. :p

If anyone got the guide for Gears 1, answer up.

I have the guide and it tells you the map layout in camp and MP and some tips on both and it aalso gave you the locations of all the COG tags.

I really need your guys help. I called my local gamestop and confirmed that they are having it at 9:30. heres the problem, im 16 and my birthday is on the f***ing 26th.... is there anything i can do to get in? any suggestions?

To be honest, that wasn't their fault. That's on the company who was shipping it to them and I believe that it was FedEx. I talked to one of the guys at one of the Gamestops near me and he said they normally use UPS, but they got a good deal from FedEx. He said they would probably never use them again because of this.

As far as the midnight release goes, I'm all over that. Got my preorder paid off and I'll be there.

hew chainsaw i see you every were on the forums, but yes there will be a midnight release, BUT only at some stores, i pre-orderd the limited edition and the guy sead that.

Ok well the gold Lancer comes with all Limited Edition Games so its not anything that you need to pre-order and its also not that big of a deal you will probably get flamed for having it

I used to work at a Gamestop near my house so I don't even have to pre-order it. I'll just talk to them and as soon as they get it, I get it!

Oh, and my customer service was awesome!!

If they have a midnight release I will get it then, have already preordered and paid. I plan on staying up all night when I first get it anyway to run through the SP and get the story details before going into MP.

I wouldn't be so sure, the people that work at some of those stores are pretty stupid, i remember i got stranglehold a week before it was released. Some gamestop employees aare mentally handicapped

Stranglehold sucked and noone cared about it. They will not release Gears early. The only chance you might have of getting gears early is finding some small shop that would sell it one or 2 days early. Gamestop will not sell gears early. No chance

it will be like halo huge orange stickers that tell you not to open it. They probably wont get the game until the day it is released or the day before so they can have a midnight release. It will probably be like the first gears though and they will get the game the morning it is released and they might not have a midnight release.

Actually people that work at Gamestop do indeed know what they are talking about. They won't give you the game early. I know that much for sure. But they get the games at least a week maybe even 2 weeks before the release date.

Working there and being friends with my bosses I got a ton of things before the release date. I just wasn't allowed to tell anyone about it. I got Madden 08 a few days before it was supposed to come out, I just wasn't allowed to play it online until the release date. Its all about who you know and who will do favors for you.

Anybody know if the midnight release version will still have the shrink wrap on it? It annoys me to no effing end that GameStop opens all their "new" games and hides the disks behind the counter. I also have a running theory that the "new" disks and the "used" disks aren't exactly kept seperately, if you know what I mean.
