November 7th is a Friday!!! Woooooooooooo

This does have one drawback. What if they don't come into stores until Monday(which I doubt)?

They will more than likely be shipped earlier that week and arrive at stores November 5'ish. It's just that the 7th will be the street date.

They will be shipped prior to that release. In the UK, Friday is our release date (not ship date) so the games are in the stores everywhere on the Friday. I think they recieve them on the Tuesday, since that is normally when my games are despatched when I order online (and I usually recieve them a day early :D)

I get out of school at 12:45 on fridays too! I'm going straight to gamestop and then home and start playing until sunday night.

i wont be able to play until saturday, school friday then work right after. but i guess i could stay up all night :P

High profile games such as this and Halo 3 for example get shipped earlier that week so that on the release date everyone can get it.

No, your getting it confused with the theory from the splash page pointing to November 9th, which is a Sunday.

Microsoft needs to do an ALL WEEKEND event and not just an All Nighter, and then you guys come along and give away those shexay elites you guys have in the vaults :D:D

This is why I'll be booking Friday and Saturday off work. Can't take it off sick as I'm on a final warning but I'll make it somehow.

And Friday is a perfect day for release days, GTA IV was a huge f-up being released on Tuesday. Many stores didn't dispatch the game until Monday, meaning many, many people got it a day late (I waited 2 days prior to release until mine came).

I've pre-ordered online with Game, though I'm not confident enough that I'll get it on release day.
