I understand that the new-improved "Hammerburst" has the semi-automatic option when you tap the trigger, but It really isn't a burst weapon anymore is it? Open for discussion, I want to know who noticed that.

lol it fires faster if you want to..but it remains a semi-auto assault rifle..
you can almost call it the "faster burst"

Just like the Carbine in Halo 3. I think its way better since i have a pretty fast trigger finger. =D
Not really like the Carbine, though, because the Carbine is unaffected by kick over prolonged firing.
The new HB has a degree of kick that will build as you fire, so you'll still need to fire it in bursts, you're just not forced to.

The new Hammerburst will kick the hell out of the Lancer

The HB better have LOTs of recoil, so it really will take skill to fire effectively.
Not like CoD4: "We DO have recoil!"
Sure you do.

^true that, the big heavy machineguns recoil for like two seconds, and then just STOP. That pisses me off! Just Kidding :p

I hope the new Hammerburst can do Headshots! AND the Lancer.

Well the lancer isn't really supposed to be powerful enough, but the sound that the hammerburst gives in GoW2 makes it sound powerful enough to pop heads lol

bleh...i dont think itd feel as good headshoting someone with a auto weapon like it does with semi-or bolt action. what id like to see is a simple hammer burst exectuion where he lifts the dude up, puts the hammerburst to his stomach and unloads a couple rounds.

I did, but I didn't post a new thread about it. I wondered if they might change the name of the weapon to fit what it does now.
