MLG Gears is not MLG Halo. hell, gears is not halo in general. there isn't much difference between good MLG kids and good kids online.

i've seen a ton of MLG gears matches and none of them are very impressive- which is why gears MLG isn't a very big circuit.

Its in the game it will happen if some one ruches you with shot gun you wont have time to switch guns so you smack them with the gun its part of the game. If you dont like geting smack keep you distence.

I joined TLR a day before Meadowlands and we had one scrim of practice going into the event. :D

<3'ed that match though. Kinda stinks that we lost it, we had Clocktower..they kept doing a 2-2 rush and Requiem wouldn't come up the stairs to safety fast enough for some reason.

We get the point, you don't think MLG GoW is as good as MLG Halo. You don't have to post it in every thread.

Although it's your opinion, I completely disagree. Find a random AM player and put him against someone like Atmo or Puff, he won't win.

It seems like you simply don't understand competitive Gears which is why it seems unimpressive. I'm sure if I didn't play competitively I would assume it was a bunch of monkeys running around with shotguns, but it's a lot more then that.

Uh....yeah that's pretty ignorant, Halo 3 gets more backing in MLG, fanboys like you buy into that and claim it as the "best" just based on it being the most recognized.

These guys arnt very impressive. There doesnt seem to be much of a difference between MLG and normal people on GOW.

One good player could kill all these guys no problem because they stand in the open like cannon fodder.

well, that one good player should become a competitive player, he can 1man team his way to the $$. I watched some of the halo 3 mlg, I wasn't very impressed. It looked pretty goofy with less strategy. I'll admit i'm total newb and only played halo 1.

The first video was pretty cool. I didn't see much difference between that and a normal ranked match though. If you get on a team with 3 other guys that will talk to you thats essentially the same thing.

That second video was just horrible! The most boring thing that I've ever tried to watch. It just seemed like whoever they put the camera on at the moment was just standing completely away from the fight looking at a wall. That and the fact that it seemed like everyone went to the exact same spot at the start of every round and just stood there.

Fallout, do you wanna play sometime? I'd really like to get better and you seem like a legit kid to play with, plus you've competed against some solid teams.

But for those that say that MLG isn't much different from any normal match, I'd like to find 4 random's with mic's and put them against Infinity or any other top 8 team and see how well they do. It doesnt seem much different but you can tell its a higher level of play. It's just hard to notice it if you arent playing

Well, of course. If you pit 4 randoms against any good team, then the team will more than likely win. Teams are teams because they know each other's strengths and weaknesses, and know how each person on the team plays. A MLG team will beat 4 randoms, just as a non-MLG team will beat 4 randoms.

I don't take offense and I understand what you are saying. What I meant was the 2nd video wasn't made well. The main camera that was cycling between all the players never seemed to actually record any of the fighting. I could here people shooting and see the icon for people being killed, but most of the time they didn't get any good footage on film.

If I'm to watch a video of a match like that I would have liked to see a lot more action involved. Not good camera work by whoever produced it.

Well I found that the 3 Infinity Scrims on MLG are pretty amazing, I can't remember if it was more montage or playing but they show some amazing footage of the winning MLG team, I'll try and find them later but you should find it if you look for Mr. Puff's videos

EDIT: I think someone may have pointed these out before but just in case, these are some Infinity scrim-tages from Mr. Puff's perspective, not sure if the other players have PoV's for these but still, its amazing to watch so, check it out if you want
