It's an over look, but not cheating as it is a sequence of legit moves used in full.

Here's a good one that will get me ridiculed by many but hopefully I'll get one actual answer:

WTF is wall bouncing? I've been playing since launch and I have no idea.

(Edit: I found a description of it on another forum. Anyone have link to a vid so I can see it in action?)

Sliding from wall to wall using the A button while also using both joysticks for movement and controlling the camera. It's known to be over used by people who don't know how to do it. Like that one kid you always see in matches just sliding from wall to wall and not shooting while he's facing someone 1 on 1.

Wall-bouncing is not a glitch.

But it is problematic for gameplay.

If a host wall-bounces, he never actually touches the wall, and with poor synchronization, can actually shoot whilst sliding.

Thus, it is an exploit, but not a glitch.

Personally, I consider anything that was not intended to be possible an exploit.

no, because youre not actually exploiting it, youre using it to its full advantage

youre not actually glitching by doing something that the game isnt supposed to allow, its just a technique or option for using the cover system

If you mean wall peaking with a sniper then ya thats like wall bouncing. and its not a glitch...

Well, you can shoot through a wall using it.

Hooray, this guy's opinion can be ignored.

Shooting through walls is not a glitch everybody!!!

Nor is it an exploit apparently!!!

Let's all Kung-fu backflip and Crabwalk!!!!!!!

MASSIVE SARCASM!!

You are just another one of those cheaters who doesn't deserve to play the game.

Corner-glitching is clearly a glitch.

The game has a system in place to stop you from shooting like this, when a weapons muzzle is obscured, but it doesn't work when you stand back from the corner.

If players find ways to fight exempt from this kind of dynamic then it's as much a glitch and other. It's an unintended over look.

It's not a glitch at all.

Referring to Corner-glitching.

Glitch:

Noun ~

- a fault or defect in a computer program, system, or machine

EPIC implemented a system to stop it, but it can still be done.
Therefore it is at fault with their intended design and so both an overlook and a Glitch.

corner glitching and wall bouncing are different things

corner glitching is a glitch and wall bouncing isnt

Wall bouncing is just entering and exiting cover with style.

What's the deal with corner sniping though? I am not sure if I have really encountered this or not, because I will at times see a sniper barrel and scope peeking out through a corner of a wall and I used to always get my head blown off from this, but I discovered that if you shoot at the blue or red lens on the scope peeking out, you can actually get a headshot on the person. Is this > "sniper barrel and scope peeking out through a corner of a wall" corner glitching, or is it specifically just the barrel. However, I have never seen just a barrel sticking through a corner, it is always a barrel and scope, but like I said, I can still get a headshot on them by shooting the red or blue lens of the scope.

all it is is taking cover and pulling away it is just part of the game, but if you didnt ask someone else would have... or maybe not =P

I would not call it a qlitch. Itīs just an exploit people learned while playing the game.
Itīs really easy to counter if you know what you are doing, but for the people who dont know how to counter it..
I dont think that Epic likes it and it will be reduced somehow in gears2.

I made a vid so show this a while ago, you can do it with none of you sticking out what so ever.

It's major suck.

That is because people do not understand how to do the glitch, which is quite amusing. It is possible to perform it without exposing even your arm, and without anything showing.

Corner-glitching is definitely a glitch.

As I said earlier, Wall-bouncing is an exploit, not a Glitch.

EDIT: Yes, it is in the video by Profess.

Nice vid Profess. I didn't know that people could completely conceal themselves with the corner glitch. I agree that it should be fixed.

Not a glitch, but still a douche thing to do.

I wouldn't consider it a glitch but it will more then likely be removed from GoW 2. I don't think they intended it to work lime that.

Both are glitches especially that corner BS. I hope they remove that from the next one its totally unfair.

Thank you so much for that vid. Now I fully inderstand what corner glitching is, because I have just never come across someone who has done that; at least I don't think I have. That's just a big f up on Epic's part; by f up I mean horrible overlook.

The corner shot might as well be a glitch. I don't know of a bullet that can travel through a stone wall and if it did it certainly wouldn't be on target.
And someone will argue that locusts don't exist either. This is true but there is more of a chance of finding an undiscovered alien organism than finding or developing a physical bullet that will pierce solid rock and continue on the same trajectory.

^^ I will say kudos to epic for trying though, there is some sort of system in place that makes it harder to shoot like that, but I'm uncertain as to how it works.

The fix may of been patched in, but I don't know. Didn't learn about Corner-Glitching till post-patch.
