I'm working on a short GOW cinematics strictly within Unreal Editor now, I'm not using any other 3D applications. At this point it still needs quite a lot of work on visual presentation and minor bugs. But most of the animation is done, and that's the hardest part.
I updated the lights, added some lightning and changed material on almost all static meshes. The work is almost complete. The only things I need now is to place more decorative static meshes and figure out a music track. Everything else is complete.
But I'm not sure if I made it too dark...

Also, see if the soundtrack that I picked suits the movie. I chose Beethoven's Silence and Take This Life by In Flames.

well, next time maybe we could see a video of the cinematics and It will be great if you make some kind of tutorial and share it with the community about how to use the cinematics assets.

Thx & Keep the work

Yes there should be a tutorial and the map looks very nice!

Placed new screenshots. After I'm completely done, maybe I'll make a tutorial on some tricks I used to make the movie.

how long is it?

Please, share it.

NewPCGAmer: It is about 2 - 2.5 minute long. But it took me forever to complete. Though I tried to make it quite action-and-special-effects-packed. Also consider the fact that I made the fire from scratch. Then the story (whatever it can be within 2 minutes of the movie) and the design. And the design is usually something that takes me quite a while.

theinterlock: I surely will share it as soon as I'm done. I would like it to be at its best when I publish it. But it's still gonna be it beta. I would need the community's feedback to eliminate the flaws (which I'm sure I have a lot).

Another thing is that because of the large amount of particle effects, even with my GeForce 8800GTS, AMD 5200+ OC and 2 gigs of RAM, I notice a slow down in performance which slowed down the process of making (thank god I'm planning an upgrade soon).

But all in all, the release is very-very close and I'm really excited about it.

well, the forum always helps to polish your work. I would like to see this video first to help u and I would like to take a look inside your kismet seq coz I had a lot of problems when I tried to use cinematics. Sure I´m doing something wrong because of that I would like to know how you did it

What exactly didn't work for you?

I´m not pretty sure about what exactly doesnt works. I tried to copy a cinematics sequence from some map of the game but when I start to change things and animatics the editor crash.

In example: I copied one boomer sequence from the game to add to my map. I can modified every thing from this animatics but if I try to do the same with marcus or other cgo player doesent work.

And if I start from the beggining by my self I can not add ani animatic track.

May you send or upload a little map with some kismet prepared to read how to do it?

I dont want that you make my work I just want to learn it. I think that I ´m doing this in the right way but maybe is not my fault.

Gorets

Yeah, I will put the video on YouTube. I just want to touch it up on imperfections before I do this. That's why I need the feedback now.
Pappi_man: the link that I provided is to the video, not a map. So you can download and watch it.
