Just bought GOW and UT3 last night, I'm excited about both of them. I played GOW on the 360, is it a lot different on the PC?
Also, just out of curiosity ~ I read the FAQ about whether you pay to play, but I'm still unsure. Is it that I can play PvP unranked for free, but have to pay for ranked matches? And is there quite a few people that play multiplayer on the PC?
Thanks! :D

Really, the multiplayer (at least ranked) is lacking.
Unless you already have a Live gold account, I wouldn't get one for Gears, because it's hard to find ranked matches.
As for differences, the PC version is about the same except for a few chapters between when you escape the Fenix estate and when you get on the train.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. But then again, I have never played for PC. Still, Gears on Live is pretty damn hardcore. I love it on Live.
Any ways, you gotta have Live Gold to play over the internet with others.
A warning though, off-host lag will take some getting used to if you don't host matches. ;)

I have a live account on the 360, does that rollover to the PC as well?

Yep, and vice versa. Just sign in with your Windows Live ID.

He does know what hes talking about, Multiplayer still isnt great on pc. The added bonus though is the custom content and the editor so you can make your own levels if your computer savvy enough.

Nooooooope, not on the PC.
Multiplayer is still Gears multiplayer. It's still the same gory fun that you've come to love. The downsides are that there are less servers up to choose from, and that you may face random problems with the game (unless you're one of the fortunate ones). Oh, and you get three new multiplayer maps, which are really excellent in my opinion, definite favorites.
