View Full Version : Fastest RAAM Completion Time
I was wondering, what's the fastest you've ever beaten RAAM on Single Player Campaign? State the difficulty too, so we can judge =p.
Mine's 1 Minute, 16 seconds on Hardcore. DOm ran ahead and downed himself, and I kept Activin' RAAM's head. I tossed a few grenades when the Kryll weren't exposed to lighting.

Mine definitely wasn't that fast, but it wasn't slow either. Maybe 2 minutes on Harcore as well. I thought RAAM was easier on Insane. :-)
Haha, I gotta try him on Insane sometime. =D

The video I made on Insane had me deliver the kill shot at 1:54, though I made some dumb mistakes including a couple of misses and a failed active reload. I'm almost positive I've done faster, though.

People complain that his to hard on insane. There insane for thinking that , his a very easy boss. If you want a hard game play COD4 on veteran , the last few levels take ages and piss all over the ramm battle.

Honestly going through on the game Insane right now, just got done with Hardcore, and it seems like Insane is easier... maybe multiplayer just made me better.

Me and a buddy co-oped on Insane and beat Raam in 40 seconds. We both came in with full torques and didn't miss a shot and hit all actives on our reloads. It was crazy. This was after both of us playing Gears for over a year though, so our skills are pretty good and we both can torque fairly well, so a somewhat stationary target like Raam was a sitting duck. He didn't even get halfway towards us.

I'm not saying that you can't beat him, but if you let him get all the way up to you.....you didn't do it right.

I had a hard time with COD4, but then again, I had my mouse unplugged and a blindfold on, and I was screaming at the game from across the room. Actually, it was still easy.

You know, I've been comparing the down time you get in games, and Gears' is by far the longest. Halo 2 is the shortest. The millisecond that I die in Halo 2, I press start, down, and A and I'm right back in. Not to mention that you usually get several checkpoints mid-battle. CoD4, similarly, gives you checkpoints several times per battle.
But in Gears, the checkpoints almost always come inbetween battles. Generally if you die, you have to start much further back. I mean, CoD4 was technically harder on Veteran, but I didn't become as frustrated. I could replay the same checkpoint twenty times and it wasn't so bad. But in Gears, because the game sets you so far back, and because it takes a longer time to get back into the fight (sometimes they ****ing put the checkpoints before a conversation) I get frustrated much quicker.

The checkpoints in Gears were too close together, if anything. I miss IGI's lack of saves.
I agree with the above. GoW has many close-together Checkpoints, but what really dements me, as stated 2 posts above, is a CheckPoint before a cutscene <___<

Especially a checkpoint before an unskippable cutscene, like the first wretch encounter where they scream and destroy your eardrums if you're wearing headphones.
