IDEA

When you first put your Gears Of War disc in your Xbox 360, You will a have the choice to design your own cog or locust medal this will be prompted by choosing either C.O.G or The Locust Horde as your favourite team this design will be accompanied with lots of different Textures, Pictures, Shapes and sizes.
The pictures that will be included are different sized skulls, Brumak heads skulls or faces of the NEW Locusts, Different guns will also be available for your crest such as a Sniper, Boomshot, Torque-Bow, Hammer of Dawn, Boltok, Hammerburst, Lancer, Snub of course the Gnasher and I have taken into consideration that Gears Of War fans who are Halo haters will really not want this idea because the fact it appears on Bungie’s Epic Trilogy but let’s be fair this idea so far is very well thought out.

After the symbol creation mode which is skip able by choice, you will be able to wear your chosen crest with pride the crest will be swapped for the original Locust and C.O.G crest's that appear on all soldiers in Gears Of War the option of skipping this short by choice menu screen will not harm multiplayer in any shape or form by not designing your crest you will have the default crest which is the crest now on gears of war 1.

REMEMBER THE PEOPLE YOU DESTROY

When you kill A person online you have the option of picking up there crests that you have designed.
You can accomplish this by pressing X just like with C.O.G tags in the campaign, this will then be recorded on the gears leader boards or just recently i read of a WAR JOURNAL So therefore you can keep track of all the people you have killed maybe with the kill sign (headshot curb stomp ect) also you can only pick up the crest of the player once and once only this will stop people from stacking crests in huge numbers which would be ridiculous.

A few people mentioned that it would be annoying to pick up the tags in a tense battle under the heat and such so I thought that this idea would come in helpful to counter that argument ... If you kill an enemy and do not pick up his or her C.O.G tags then you will have a kill with no face attached (kill with no tags so picking up the tags is optional and in some cases extremely risky)
Also to stop the tags being stolen you cannot have your medals picked up by other members of your team, Only you can pick them up just like in the campaign when the other guy has the tag you are searching for.

i think collecting 1000 medals you can unlock a new locust character and with 3000 , A new cog character, 5000 a secret achievement worth a lot of gamer score like 200 also new voices that the locusts say and cogs say, 10,000 could unlock _______ insert which ever ideas u wish

CLANS

Now Clans can be made easy by using the "clan tag" which is very similar to COD4 and it works very well with party system and such anyway, If you have your clan of 4 players they will all have the same clan tag or same colours and different weapons to show what there specified role is (OPTIONAL), using this clan tag system will encourage the lesser skilled players to play Gears 2 with their friends in a clan which will be a really good idea to them and a good idea to us as well so this way we are pleasing everybody.

maybe if your clan has say 30 members with all with same tags then collecting them could possibly unlock something............ from here i am finding it hard to think of new ideas and would appreciate your comments criticise me as well if u wish

Good ideas for the most part. DEFINETELY with you on the CoG tags - in Battlefield Bad Company when you knife someone you automatically take their Dog tags. In Gears, when you curbstomp someone (since it's a grossly underused finisher and awesomely cool), you could get their tags. In fact, any execution should get you their tags since it's up close and personal to finish em off.

Not a good idea to have pickable tags though. Why? It's annoying enough when you go to revive someone next to a downed enemy and accidently curb stomp the enemy or pick up ammo in execution instead of curbstomping and they get up - unless you hit a different button than thats a no go.

Your idea of crests doesn't suit Gears in my opinion, BUT, for the COG tags would be AWESOME. Especially if you could put your face on them using a vision cam or something, that would kick ass. I also think you SHOULD be able to get the same persons more than once, but it only updates as a little number next to their tags, and doesn't count towards "unique tags collected" number.

I also don't agree with the amount of gamerscore you'd give for 5000 "unique" tags, thats WAAY too much. It would probably be a good complimentry achievement to Seriously... though (I wonder if it will be called Seriously... Not Again?! this time lol) as it's something different to go for that takes a good amount of time. I do however like your idea of unlockable characters but I think you should unlock both the Locust and CoG one at the same time if that was in the game. I do however, love your idea of "X amount of tags unlocks new voices" - like the IWBYD skull in Halo does. That happening would rock, hearing your guy say something new after you've played so much you have 10,000 tags or however much it would be would rock.

VERY good idea about the tags though, would be an awesome touch.

My idea is for them to first, consider making it for PC. Then, start figuring the logistics of making it for PC. Then, begin a PC port but with a few more options this time on controls. Oh btw, did I say they should make a PC version? :D

OK, seriously though, on the achievement thing, they should be not just for marketing hype to get points for future preorders but unlock things within the game. A bonus mission or two, a new weapon or boss to fight. I'm sick of achievements that result in little to no gain. You can easily buy a sealed brand new game from a trusted power seller on eBay for way less than any achievement points will get you the game.
