Hopeless COG Tag Glitch victim

Hey guys, I have been asking around on other forums, but none have helped, so I thought this place would be best to ask...

Now, I know this has been posted before, (trust me, Ive been researching all week) but my COG Tags are %^#$ed up. Apparently the game refuses to let me go back to my old 28/30 tag count, so Im embracing for the same ol' answer but... Is there any way to fix this? I cant stress this enough, but I have been trying everything to get my For the Fallen achievement.

Even today I thought, "Hey, maybe I can try to go co-op with an account that has 0 Tags.." so I did it, all by myself on Casual, got EVERY tag there was by remembering where they all were, but instead in the end, I got For the Fallen on the dummy account. :( But thing is, I thought I screwed up since I missed one on the train, specifically the 2nd one on the train, so when I got the 3rd I realised I missed one, so I restarted the level and grabbed it on the alt-account, and I thought maybe since I had to restart the level I screwed up.. but I dont feel like going through it all again just to see that it just doesnt work at all that way.

Ill admit that yes, the achievement glitch was performed on my account, but not purposely. Get this, it happened the very night I decided to activate a subscription on my GT, AND the night I was taking a break from collecting the rest of my tags.

Guys, I have researched almost all corners of the internet to find a solution to this. It sucks that the achievement was at the corner of the street waiting for me, then as if a damn truck plowed me. This sounds corny but, its hard to even be excited about anything the future holds for gears to me, like Action Figures, game #2, etc, just because of the stupid achievement.
I even had a DREAM that I unlocked it. Pathetic...
Im all about Gears and all, and thats why the achievement is holding me in the depression zone.

Well, I said I didnt feel like doing it all over again just to have it not give me anything in the end.. Blah, it took me like 5 hours to do co-op alone. :rolleyes:

I know how you feel, I did the seriously glitch on my account bc I already earned all of the achievements on my old gamertag, and considering the rigamoroll you have to go through to get seriously I didnt see it worthy for one cheevo. Anyways I did the seriously glitch last night and then tried to play campain to get those achievements and realized I could pick up any cog tags bc none of them were there :confused: then I realized that bc of the seriously glitch it thinks you are the account that has all the achievements so the cog tags will not show up. The other campain achievements become glitched as well, when I completed the prison breakout it unlocked, Commando, Mercenary and Soldier with it :eek: without even seeing any other chapters. Then I decided to try the last chapter of each act and what do you know beating the last chapter on insane unlocks all three for that act.

I feel your pain though, GoW is my all-time favorite for the 360 and not having 100% on it really kicks me in the pants. Im trying to reverse the cheevo glitch by using an account that does not have the cog tags, but bc the gamer profile is so small in size (megabyte wise) its logging too quickly for me to time it right. If you could try it with an account that doesnot have the cog tags and it works let me know

Glitchers were reset last week or so. If Microsoft flags your console and gamertag for glitching, you're not getting those achievements back, even honestly, period. Glitching is cheating, and doing it is no bueno.

And I can honestly agree with your opinion on cheating. I dont do it on a regular basis let alone any other time than this, nor will I be doing any other sort of glitching after this. The ONLY reason i did it was for Seriously, because I went through the 10,000 plus Kills to get it on my old account, so cant justify going through all that again for one achievement. :(

But at the same time I see the point that I should have just went through all the bs just like everyone else including myself on my other gamertag. I know I cant argue it, glitchin/cheating is what it is and nothing more or less. :(

Yeah.. but atleast what Im trying to get is easy to achieve and I deserve it, I ran through the game multiple times franticly searching for the "last" cog tag, and after doing a LOT of research I found out why it said to me I had 30/30 with no achievement, and on that I ran through the game and got the achievement easy in less than 6 hours. Woulda been shorter if I didnt have to man 2 controllers.

how exactly do you know where the tags are at??bcuz i would find some but now purposely,they would just pop out.

Well I did figure out how to repair the situation... Either create an account that does not have any of the cog tags, or use an existing one, do what you would do for the achievement glitch and it should repair the account from thinking you have all of the cog tags opening up your account to be able to get the cog tags. Im going through the game now to get the tags, which were locked up for me before. Good Luck to you.

all the tags are in and around the areas where there is a gears skull, just look for those skulls and there is a cog tag nearby unless you had already grabbed it before.
