Loading an existing Campaign

Recently, I started map building with GOW. I have a few custom maps that other folks have made and played them with no issues.
Today, I tried going back to campaign mode and loading a checkpoint, but the game crashes when I try.

Anyone have any insight in regards to this issue?

BTW: I do have the patch installed.
