Here is my first real campaign level Aspho Fields.

This takes place 7 years after E-day. 3 years before Marcus gets sent to prison. Hoffman is still just a Major but is leading your squad due to shortages in sargeants. Anthony Carmine's older brother Adrian Carmine joins your squad. This has three Chapters.

Operation Lethel Injection:

8 Squads will be sent into the woods to Locust Hot Spots and deploy Resonators for targeting data.

Squads and current status:

Alpha-Still at camp
Bravo-On the Field
Delta- Still at Camp
Echo-On route
Tango-Lost
Victor-On the Field
Romeo-On the Field
Raven- Lost (Most likley dead)

Your objective, Get to the Front lines with Alpha, there is too many locust, we must abondon our Resonator for now.....

"Lets go!"

"Dom! Alpha is leaving!"
"No! We wait for Hoffman First!"
"Ah, Sh**...."


Coop:
Host a live list play and have your buddy join from there.
There is no checkpoints but the difficulty is Just slitly harder than casual so good luck Private!

Looks interesting map, but it's way too dark.
I'll test this map soon as possible.

I will play it as soon as I get home from school today. Is it checked as a multiplayer game or single player? You said host it on live list play so I assume it is set as multiplayer but correct me if I am wrong. I like that you added some storyline that fits in the universe, it makes it seem legitimate.

ah I figured out how to make my maps coop. Aside from having dom of course you need to uncheck bmultiplayermap and add SP wargame from gametypes supported.

it needs more positions to covers and you hace to remove some little bugs... but awesome work!!! keep on working :cool:

bIsmultiplayer is NOT checked. Someone should still be able to join. bIsmultiplayer is for adversarial multiplayer.


Wow, thank you core2Tom. I really appreciate your response. If you made it to the end part there deffineatly needs to be ALOT more cover I agree.

for a first sp map its not bad, but it wasnt even close to perfect. Some things that definetly need to be changed are the cover nodes on the trees, because they dont allow you to circle the tree, they are just on one side of it. Also the dialogs just get to be way too much. none of it made sense, so having to walk and listen to the banter that made nothing clear to me was pointless imo, but it did add some level of atmosphere it was just over used. another thing was the helicopter getting "Taken down". All that happend was it started on fire, bit it just stayed in the exact position that it started in giving no amount of realism, and it just hovered there making the obnoxious noise for the rest of the level. Id suggest either learning how to do some matinee, or just take that part out if the level. Another thing was the brumak battle. It was bad because it spawned directly on top of me. Id also suggest making some matinee for that or else just take it out of the level. And the last thing is that sometimes there were just too many enemys on screen which cause some frame rate crashes, and i have an 8800gt which isnt a weak card.

all in all for a first map, its not bad, it just seemed like you tried to do too many things that you dont know how to do in a well presented way, like the helicopter or brumak.
for a first map though, not bad. keep workin and youll get the hang of it.

Just finished playing a good deal of it. I tried it three times. The farthest I got was the graveyard. I was able to dodge all of the torque bows and boomers but a drone surprised me by having a shotgun instead of an assault rifle and my shotgun didn't kill him the first shot so he instantly turned around and killed me. Very nice so far. It is very different from other maps because it is in a forest and field. I agree that the dialogue got to be a bit overused especially on the hill area.

The second time I played it one of the enemy drones from the first battle retreated quite far into the map so I was able to follow him with no more enemies spawning until the troika area. I eventually killed him and went back to get my downed teammates and had to do the earlier battles.

You could put in some boulders to make the map look more interesting and give more options for cover. The ambient sound effects like the owl and rain were great.

I liked at the very beginning you feel like you are being rushed and you have to run, but immediately after that you are forced to stand still and walk while all of the dialog is played. I actually tried running forward as fast as possible and got to see the other COGs disappear from thin air as well as start the first battle before the dialog was done.

As for the helicopter part I didn't see anything. I must not have looked in the right direction. I just heard a bunch of helicopter dialog so it seemed just a little out of place but not bad.

What happens after the graveyard? A brumak I have heard, is that it?

Also, the terrain is not bad but seems very flat. Could you make it more natural with some little rises on the hill?

yes, terrain would be nice, but i dont suggest it what-so-ever. it crashes the editor almost every time so i wouldnt do it, but it is your choice. Oh and Thaur, i couldnt beat it either so i just turned on God mode in kismet.

Also just for a little help, you should do your kismet in little portions instead of one giant glob of lines. It will help you keep more organized and makes it much easier for editing. I have no clue how you are going to try to fix some of the things weve told you that need to be fixed becasue the kismet is so unorganized.
Not to be harsh tho. Keep up the good work.

Nice!!! Reminded me alot of Medal of Honor Allied Assault for some reason. I love the forest!! Dark and dank. I made it to the boomers and then went splat! :( Nice effort again man. I hope we can play it coop sometime. One nitpick I have though.. is it just me or are all the e-holes stting on slabs of concrete?? Anyways man I love your maps. Keep it up. :cool:
