Important note: You have to re-load the map every time you die. You have to manually quit the map when there's no more locust spawning. As of beta 1, the "Linear game mode" is WIP (Work In Progress) Thus incomplete.

This is another endurance level - my first Gears of War level. Once the level starts, you will be given 2 game mode to chose from. One is the limit-less Endurance, and the other is linear, which means the AI will spawn like if it was a normal SP level with a final wave. It gets harder and harder.

If you find any bug please let me know (Post pictures), I had a serious hard time trying to exclude the player from the AI spawning points, which most of the time are outside the level. I wanted it to be that way so the player isn't finding "the" perfect spot. Enemies may spawn from behind so, beware.

Info: In endurance mode, at each 5 waves you'll have a warning from Anya letting you know that locust reinforcements are en route. That means Theron guards will spawn somewhere in the level. Keep your head low. A sound is played when all the reinforcement units have been killed. you have 3 reinforcements, then the game ends after you killed both the 16th wave and 3rd reinforcement.

Tips: I would highly recomend that you think twice before smashing a AI, especially the grenadier, use your Lancer/HammerB quite often, bring enemies on their knees if they are close. Stick a grenade on a boomer right after he shot at you to save some time. If the boomer isn't shooting you, shot a few rounds at him while moving, that'll provoke him. He'll shot back instantly so keep your distances. The best moment to chainsaw your opponent is when they jump over an obstacle, or when they just got into cover. Take your chance if they are shooting at your teammate too.

The more feedback/suggestions/comments I get, the faster the final release will surface. I hope you have as much fun as I did with this level. Thanks for your downloads.

NOTE: If the directory doesn't exist, you'll have to create it manually.

Go to versus mode and start a local host game, you should see the map from there.

Nice... I'll give this a run tonight!

EDIT: Just played it. Damn was that fun. Got owned by the rush of wretches...

Only thing I would add is ammo spawns... not enough AI had shotguns to reload off of. Or perhaps I did not survive long enough to get to more shotty AI but anyways that's my suggestion ammo spawns...

Also was checking out the kismet seems quite logical now that I look at how things are talking to each other. If ever get some free time out side the other projects I have then I'll give a crack at some SP mappage.

Nice job on the background with the terrain, buildings, and making the sky blend in with the fog. I found nothing wrong with the gameplay but I am not a big fan of endurance levels. I was going to say make the file name simpler because I open custom maps using the console so if it is complex like yours with lower case upper case, underscores, dashes and numbers I have to write the name down. Not too big of a deal for me but I am thinking of making things as easy as possible for all the random players out there. After playing it I read you can just open it like an MP map however. I think it looks a little bit odd that it is so foggy despite the fact that it is a clear day. All the fog makes the map look bland. Also I think the Chinese lanterns look out of place in what otherwise is a European and neoclassical architectural theme. The invisible walls are a minor annoyance also. Personally they don't bother me too much but previous beta testers of mine hated them. To make it prettier you should put in some nice trees inside those concrete boxes you find in the retail levels. I have trouble seeing it as a convincing place because it has very little detail work, but maybe you don't care about that.

Just a suggestion but I think its too bright with the fog also. Open up Gridlock and look at that perfect level. Keep up the good work.

Interesting design and I had lots of fun, but could you please add Dom rather than Carmine? I wanna play this map in coop with my bro. Please?
