I had not such problem though i did never play for extended periods because of stuttering (on my ring it is more like pauses than stutter). by the way did you have to physically remove the card or just disable SLI in option to get it to run?

I can easily play with one card by disabling SLI in NV control panel ... this problem is all because of that stutter ... EPIC, please release the patch ! :)

Well my cousin is running this game in sli, he says its in his top3 games that runs the best in sli with windows vista... i know he did create a profile for GoW and tweak his own way... i'll try to give him a call and tell him what he did

I can run it in SLI just fine (still a little hitching, though). Gottex, sounds like a hardware issue or something like that. . . are you sure the second card is good, etc? Please list hardware, OS, etc.

Well, sounds like I have something wrong ...
the main problem of playing SLI is that "driver stop responding" error, in GoW pretty often, 15-20 min of playing, some other games could be clean, without a scrach, some of them gives me 2-4 hours of normal gaming in SLI then this "driver stop responding ..." I've tried all the possible drivers, no work with SLI in GoW :(
the highest temperature of Video cards is 76C and 72C ... not much for such a monsters ...

Try this: uninstall the Forceware Driver, reboot, run Driver Sweeper (http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,67286-order,1-page,1/description.html), then a Registry Cleaner (http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm), and then re-install the newest WHQL Forceware Driver (whatever version that may be now??). I had a similar problem with my last system, but this process fixed it for me. Also, do you have the SLI Hotfixes (http://www.nvidia.com/object/windows_vista_hotfixes.html) installed?
SportingSCP, pics are coming--if I can figure out this darn digital camera!

Sorry, I gave u wrong info about the temp, its 85 and 79 celcius (in game ofcourse) ... also I changed thermal interface, gave me minus 1~2C for each card
I did what u told me, uninstall, reboot, safe mode - driver sweeper, regestry cleaner, reboot, install ForceWare 169.25 WHQL, reboot, SLI enable, reboot ... YES, all SLI fixes are installed a long time ago ;)
still have "driver stop responding" and sometimes BSOD ... 10 min of playing in GoW with SLI ... BSOD ... its all stuttering, sometimes it pass sometimes its freez and BSOD ... guess gotta wait for a patch that fixes stutter

How do other games respond to SLI?
Are you running any programs that re-skin your desktop/themes, etc? GOW really hates programs like those. . . I had AlienGUIse installed on my last computer (changes folder icons, gives user a Mac-like dock, etc.) and couldn't run the game for more than a little bit. . . Window Blinds and other similar programs will probably do the same thing. Perhaps Aero (is that what it's called?) is an issue as well?
Does the game run any better in Compatibility Mode, or in DX9 vs. DX10?
SliZone Forums (http://forums.slizone.com/) would probably be a good place to look. . . a lot of Vista Ultimate users there. . . .

No re-skin programs at all
DX9 ? dont wanna hear about it ))) runs fine, no prob
e.g. JERICHO which also has UE3, stutter, but never give any kinda stuff like BSOD or "driver stop responding"
SliZone Forums? yep, I'm a member of that forum too ;)
the only explanation to my problem is that my copy of GoW downloaded from torrents, its not retail ... or my hardware ... meanwhile many games like CRYSIS, COD4, MoH:A - runs perfect, without stutter or other errors, well sometimes "driver stop responding ..." gives me a headache, but anyway we all know its Nvidia and Vista problem and for me it happens not so seldom ...

Yeah I am holding off on purchasing a copy of GoW until I get to see some patches etc etc get released for the game...and also for the price to drop. I hate paying 50 bucks for a game especially when i know the price will drop to 15 bucks if I just wait a bit more...
