Update: I have added video run throughs for each map.

Update: I have fixed a couple of pieces of cover so they properly allow jump over and swat turn. I modified the first battle so that you do most of the fighting upstairs where I intended, rather than having all of the enemies rush down the stairs at you.

These leave off where my first map locust park ended. You have entered the library and have left Dom outside. You must descend into the sub levels and below that, the caves and tombs. The maps are not finished until you receive a text message saying "area complete." Make sure your music is on, you should hear it during battles. I say this because mine keeps turning itself off after every time I die!

For these two maps I have borrowed heavily from the single player chapters, so if you are against seeing any of the same rooms or hallways you have already seen before you may not like these. My next map will be quite different. I plan for it to finish the series and take quite a while longer to create because I will be creating it from the ground up using custom architecture. When it is finished I hope to go back and improve all of the maps and link them together to create a little map pack. At that time I should make a thread asking for suggestions on all of my maps.

For those of you that played my betas, I messed around with streaming and got content to load thanks to your help. However, I was having problems rebuilding and combining the maps so I decided to work that out later when I am finished with this series and want to hook it all together. What I rather figure out is a way to warp from one map to another, keeping your inventory. I don't really care for messing with streaming but it may be unavoidable. I need to mess with teleports too. What I decided to do was split the map into two parts, so I added an area to part a because it was too short. I also wanted something new for you guys to play who had already tested it.

I want you guys to play these first before I release them to the other community sites because I am pretty sure you will find some sort of problem I should fix even though I have done quite a bit of polishing. Thanks to Brandon, Far, Kronos, NewPCGamer, Taffer, Zackiz. Rooms/hallways in Nergal from SP HOS. Those in Namtar from MP Sanctuary and SP Tomb. Fonts from 1001fonts.com. Weird names and such from Babylonian mythology.

Welcome back, looks like you were busy in making this map, I did not see you around much here.

Anyways I am downloading the map & see how it plays :)

well I was more busy studying for school for the most part but I did put in some serious time on these for the last few days. I added a bunch of missing cover, improved the light sourcing and brightness, added post processing, added another battle to part A, added collision where it was absent before, added some details to the cave, patched up the invisible wall problems, added center view and text messages when the maps are complete. I'm already tired of the cave theme however so I want to do something really different for the last map, but somehow still keep it cohesive with the others. I don't want to do an outdoor map because I already have lots of practice doing those. I want the map to be scary but yet well lit. I will need powerful light sources and I don't want to use more emergence holes or lanterns as light sources. Don't want to use emulsion either.

I haven't had any reports of this map crashing people. Anyone other than Grimmjow have this problem? I have seen in other threads certain maps causing people to crash. They suggested reinstalling the game because that fixes it in their case, but I really doubt too many people will reinstall their game just to play a custom map.

thanks! Were you able to complete them? I think they are pretty hard. I often die. I am going to create copies where you can open the map and start playing the last battle in the case that you die and don't want to replay the whole thing.

After 'we've got some more' when enemies spawn near the start, I ran up past the beginning to see if anything was there and end up getting stuck in the air...

Pressing forwards just made me go higher and I couldn't get down.

Otherwise good.

Thank you Shoe. I will add that to my list of things to fix like some of the other collision issues. Collision was my biggest headache in that map as well as the one I am working on now. If they only included the proper collision models on all of the meshes it would be so much better.

thank you! I really like having videos for people but the down side is that videos takes away the surprise of the level and shows you all of the secrets. What do you think? I hope you enjoy. Tell me what you think.

is possible to spawn good AI in your SP map ?
like DOM for my side kick ete ... ?
also is possible to
load up MP's Map and spawn some good and bad NPC AI and play ?

I played this map few weeks back and it had probably the best action sequences. Only thing was annoying was the darkness. I had to put brightness really up, so I could see something.
Also, keep up the good work.

Yes it is very easy to spawn good AI in your map, just like you would a bad NPC. My map Locust Park has Dom with you: http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=597908

Well you can play custom maps online with good and bad NPCs spawning. I don't think you can copy and modify the Epic maps though. You may be able to but I think it would be difficult for a beginner.

I have never heard of being able to spawn units with the console for gears of war. I remember you could do that in unreal by typing "summon krall" for example. What you have to do is go into the map editor, create a map and use kismet to spawn things. There is a text tutorial here: http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=583711

so I can just type in consol and spawn any NPC in SP or MP Map :D
Jedi Knight game (Quake 3 Engine) can do type in consol or bind key to config file
just hit key then NPC spawn in map(Game)
oh you dont think can do in GOW ?
if can then very fun
like 100 of Dom NPC help you in Game ... :D
