I added an outdoor entrance to the factory... Updated Map and an additional Screenshot of the new area...

Looking good! Great lighting and layout (from what I can see)! Seems like it

wow this is really good. Is this your first time with the editor?
also why did you call it fish in a barrel since there is a real sp map named that exact same thing?

This is my first GoW/UnrealEd3 map, but not my first map.
I did not know that there was already a Fish in a Barrel map... I named it because when you are in the upper are shooting down its like shooting fish in a barrel... Im going to have to come up with soemthing else... When I started I just called it Boxworld cuz all it was, was a box...

you use Checkpoint on your map
and i want to know if you have a tutorial to make checkpoint on single player map.
I try to follow your kismet's script but I don't really undestand :confused:, so on my map it doesn't works :(

your map is really great, especially the lightning.
And the big room with the locust on top and on the ground drive me nuts on the higher diffcult levels ^^
Its very cool, i can't wait for the next version, cause the map doesn't really end in the big room, am i right?

I’m not very good at tutorial writing but if you have any specific questions I would be glad to answer them. Below is a summary of what I did in my level
I had a lot of difficulty getting the Checkpoint System to act correctly… A big problem is the fact that you cannot test Checkpoints in the PIE (Play in Editor)… You have to load the game for Checkpoints to work… The Checkpoints will crash the PIE…
The first difficulty was resetting the “Spawn Factories”… The problem is that the Spawn Factories do not reset when you get sent back to a checkpoint after dying… What I had to do was set up a “Bool” and a “Compare Bool” for each Trigger in Kismit. I use the Bool to store the value of the Trigger, has it been touched? No (Default) – False; Yes – True… I then put a Compare Bool that looks for the value of the Bool whenever a trigger is touched… If the value is True, nothing happens… If the value is False, then two things happen: 1. The value of the Bool is set to True; 2. The Spawn Factory is activated… I also had to set the value of the Bool back to False upon death if the next checkpoint was not reached
The second difficulty was triggering the checkpoints, and to be honest it still acts flaky… The problem I seem to have is that the “All Dead” output on a Spawn Factory is flaky… Some of my Checkpoints were set thru the All Dead output, but the engine does not always seem to recognize when all of the Spawn of a given Factory are dead… I replaced those malfunctioning “Set Checkpoint(s)” with Touch Triggers instead of the All Dead…

I agree, the difficulty is a bit much... I need to find away to set hitpoints or weaken enemies, so if anyone knows how that would be great… I dont want fewer enemies, just weeker ones...
Also, it is not finished, but I haven’t had much time to work on it since I last posted an update…

Looking amazing so far. The colors are fantastic along with the post processing. Simply beautiful composition. Details are great too. Many layers of detail. Difficulty was perfect for me. I nearly nearly died about three times but was able to survive each time. The only thing that almost killed me was lack of a cover node on one of the walls in the middle of the main room bottom floor.
The only ideas I have for making enemies weaker is to try using the drone sniper but changing his weapon to a lancer or other weapon. He will be very defensive and very weak on hitpoints. You can also try using the hunter with no armor and no grenades unit to replace some grenadiers. They may be weaker than grenadiers, but it is unfortunate that they don't carry grenades.
The only bug I noticed was the final mission objective update that told me the warehouse was clear. There was in fact one more drone that was not dead yet when I received the message.
The lamps outside at the first area are a bit much. I think there are too many of them and it looks unrealistic and busy having them all over the place like that.
Have you played through my map Nergal? I noticed how we both have courtyard type of rooms with battles spanning several levels in the same room and waves of enemies coming from different levels. It is great for gameplay

This is not the way to use checkpoints and there is only one way to make it work and by the way this map seems "C&P" Map. Take a look inside "Factory Map" in campaing mode of GOW.
The trigger for checkpoints must be in the P level. this fire the streamed levels where you have the script then if you die all restart again coz all works again with level streaming. In my first attemp to make checkpoint I had this mistake the Dead node in the AI:Factory just work one time. For see how it works in a good way u can take a look inside my map ravensearch and see my kismet this is the way.
First u have to understand what everything does to arrange all together.
