For the PC platform, a vehicle replacement mutator is provided in combination with a package full of custom vehicles that are compatible with the vehicle replacement mutator. This allows the vehicles to be used on all the vehicle maps. Independent of the vehicle replacement mutator is the trickboard mutator which will replace the default hoverboard with the trickboard vehicle. The same goes for the Powerboard mutator. Also included are all of my maps that are cooked with these vehicles, which include HydroExtractor, MinusTankMeUp, Synapse, and TanksForPlaying.

Apparently mutators with configuration screens are not supported on the PS3 without a patch from Epic. Until that changes the vehicle replacement mutator will be PC only. PS3 users will have to use the custom maps.

I found a small bug when using with the vehicle replacement mutator. It will be fixed in the next release, but if you want you can fix yourself:
Replace UTVH_Themis.ini with this:
[VH_Themis.UTVehicle_Themis]

[UTVehicle_Themis UTUIDataProvider_Vehicle]

The old one said "UTVehicle_Themis_Content" instead of the actual name which is "UTVehicle_Themis". Before, if you tried to replace a vehicle with a themis you wouldn't get anything.

Hi,
After been trying the vehicles and maps for a while, i think i`m ready to provide some helpful feedback.
The best for me is biotank, it`s awesome like it is.
Kraits is good, but i think it were better with the mines that locks enemy vehicles, it would be hilarous to overtake an enemy car and put one of this mines in front of it and lock it.
Cerberus` point of view is too tall, i don`t know if it is because i have a widescreen monitor, but i can`t see it when i look forward.
Albatros is good but, why it moves that way? isn`t it suposed to be a modded cidaca?.
Rattler is awesome, but isn`t his shoot too powerfull to be done by an invisible vehicle? it may be a good idea that it could fire only on visible mode, like klingon spaceships; or stop vehicle engine when it becames invisible, so you have to be visible in order to not to be damaged when you are targeted.
Well, i hope i have been of help, and not offensive; my english isn`t very good, so i`m not sure i`ve not hurt you eyes .

Kraits - hmm, yeah, kraits was thrown together pretty quickly. The scorpion shot makes it really good against other hover vehicles. I wasn't too sure about the slow volume. I just know the original one is too small to be useful :-) Mines that lock enemy vehicles? You mean spider mines or AVRiLs? I was thinking of making another viper mod that dropped spider mines instead of a slow volume but I never started it.
Cerberus - ya the point of view is a bug I forgot about :o Thanks for the heads up :)
Albatros - If you compare the size of the albatros to the size of the cicada you'll see the albatros is a bit larger, that's why it flies slower. Also, I wanted it to be hard to drive to balance out the fact that it drops redeemers ;)
Rattler - I can weaken it if it's too strong. 400 Health is a bit much. It turns slightly visible when you fire, but I think it needs to be more apparent than it is now. Maybe I can tune the 'de-rez' time higher? I'll look into all these things and I always appreciate the feedback! :)
I can't get any of it to work.
If you are on PS3, I recommend following the instructions at http://www.ut3mod.com
For PC, you extract the contents of the zip files into your My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\ folder. That's all there is to installing it. :D Other than that you'll need to elaborate a little more on what is not working. :eek:

I mean EMP mines (sorry i`m not sure if it is its name in english), and my idea is, overtake an enemy vehicle (due to faster viper`s speed) and drop one of this mines just in front of his face, so the enemy can`t avoid crash with it and have to go walking.

The Nautilus has been improved quite a bit in the next release. It flies much better, and the pilot seat shoots where you aim.
I've been working on a new map, 'WAR-MinusTankMeUp-Snarf'. It's my first map ever, so it's kinda ghey. Actually, it's not even mine, but an old 2k4 map that I used a tool to convert. The tool only converts so much so I've been working out the rest of the level by hand. I've gotta hand it to map makers. It's a tough job!

After downloading your CaptainSnarfVehicles_v4 and vehicle replacement mutator, everytime i try to configure the mutator the game crashes. know any fixes??

Hmm. First I would try re-extracting the zip files over the old installation. After that I'm not sure what could be causing the problem. Sorry for not being able to help more. Do you by chance have the 'newtators' mutator installed? The vehicle replacement mutator and the newtators mutator are incompatible. We both used the same name (Newtators also has a vehicle replacement mutator). Maybe that is what is causing the crashing?

I maybe found some sort of bug:P
you can't(or at least I can't) replace the Rapter, Fury or Cicada with any of these, I treid to replace the Raptor with the Nautilus and the Ciciada with ther albatross, they both didn't show up in the map(tested on: WAR - Torlan and VCTF - Suspanese with vehicle replacement mutatoer), every ground vehicle works fine.
EDIT:
Replacing the fury with the rattler did worked, so maybe there's some bug with the nautilus and Albatros?
EDIT2:
Replacing the raptor with the albatross worked, so the only 2 vehicle that doesn't work for me are the Themis(under the nemesis) and the Mautilus(under the levaithan)
EDIT3(lol:p)
Got the Themis to work with removing *_content* out of the name, tho, the nautilus still refuses to work(I tried removinf Content there too, but it didnt worked. I replaced the laviathan with it)

Hmm. The modded vehicles don't do anything by themselves. You need the vehicle replacement mutator (available from the same location) to make them work. Sorry if I was unclear about that. Alternatively you can download one of the maps which has the new vehicles cooked into it.

Hi CaptainSnarf, i´m trying the v5 now, and i have to say that you have done a great work again; but i think the way the minotaur moves is a bit annoying (althought is insanely funny use it), don`t you think that should be better, make it vulnerable with a very low transformation sequence that keep it stationary, like leviathan and spma do?.
Maybe, i wan`t too much, but it could be as easy (i think) as paste a spma legs in both sides of the minotaur.

Hi, I'm a new member to these forums. I've downloaded your new V5 vehicle maps for PS3 and think they are great.
I'm gonna try and give feedback on mods I download, though I think I'll will be limiting myself to technical problems I notice since I'm probably not a good judge on gameplay and balance issues.
Only thing I've noticed so far while playing Snarfspense V5 is the black squares in the muzzle flash of the Albatross.

The site he/she mentioned is the one site on the web that I know of that host just the (unzipped) USERDATA.JAM, which can be downloaded directly through the PS3's web browser, when you have a memory device or card set up for it. This is why I wish that modders, when hosting the PS3 versions of their maps, would just host the USERDATA. It doesn't really shrink that much when it's zipped, and it wouldn't effect the people who use the PC to download the PS3 maps, cuz it's the same proccess really. Doing that would really increase the number of PS3 players that could do immediate beta testing, and it's easier for people to get the final versions, and keep up with new versions of finals. But I understand there is probably a limited amount of hosting space, so the small amount of space zipping saves is probably a bigger deal than I realise in the long run.

I'm sure the ut3mod.com guys will have a download soon enough. In the mean time I'll look into releasing the USERDATA.JAM file unzipped in future versions. I wasn't too sure how it worked on the PS3 so I just copied the entire "PS3\" folder.

1. Hmm, I've updated the Nautilus controls three times now on user requests. I'm not updating them anymore sorry :) IMO it flies fine. It's supposed to be a pain to drive. It's huge!
2. I retested after your post and they all work for me with the vehicle replacement mutator. Sorry don't know what your problem is. The Owl is in Snarflan at the primary node on top. The others were not included in the maps because it would change the map too much. IonTank and Ballista are in the MinusTankMeUp map if you want to try that one. Themis is in MinusTankMeUp and Snarfalanche.

i hope you make a flying base/fortress, where people can walk in and not press Square (ps3 version yes im on about) but there should be a pilot somewhere, would be FUNNY if there was basically a map with 2 islands then a bottomless pit all around and you had 2 flying bases haha! of course this should technically go in requests....
Anyway yeah the nautillas' flight doesnt bother be big beam cannon ftw, your spanker is by far the best use and design haha!

I maybe found some sort of bug:P
you can't(or at least I can't) replace the Rapter, Fury or Cicada with any of these, I treid to replace the Raptor with the Nautilus and the Ciciada with ther albatross, they both didn't show up in the map(tested on: WAR - Torlan and VCTF - Suspanese with vehicle replacement mutatoer), every ground vehicle works fine.
EDIT:
Replacing the fury with the rattler did worked, so maybe there's some bug with the nautilus and Albatros?
EDIT2:
Replacing the raptor with the albatross worked, so the only 2 vehicle that doesn't work for me are the Themis(under the nemesis) and the Mautilus(under the levaithan)

Got the Themis to work with removing *_content* out of the name, tho, the nautilus still refuses to work(I tried removinf Content there too, but it didnt worked. I replaced the laviathan with it)
the Neutilus is HUGE and needs a lot of space. try putting it instead of mantas in VCTF Suspense. it wont have enough room near bases, but it will have enough room under the bridge where that neutral manta is.

"Trickboards!" should show up as a separate mutator, replacing all hoverboards with trickboards. If it doesn't, I screwed up the packaging of it :( There are various powerups that will give you the trickboard as well.

CaptainSnarf, just finished test driving some of your vehicles, thanks tons dude, that Cerberus is the shiznak, Ballista is really super fun too. Sweet work. I also had trouble with the larger sized vehicles, but I had a ton of open space (I played them on (UNK)DarkwalkerNightmare). I know this isn't really good technical feed back, but I just had a lot of fun. Dropping deemers from the Albatross, stuff like that, just enjoyed all the fun new ways to kill people.

:( I never really tested in client/server mode. There are bound to be issues with network replication code. If those are the only issues it's a good sign :) I should have a new version that fixes these issues soon. Sorry about that.

*ps3* - When I play, just me in the Nautilus, I hit L2 and BAM! I am in the second seat, and can fire the Leviathan type gun thingy. Of course I can't pilot at the same time, it continues on in the direction it was already going. Can your Pilot fire it if you mess around with the buttons? Try with nobody in the second seat. Also, I had to uninstall all the SnarfMaps in order to install the Vehicles just as vehicles. Not sure what the PC will do to resolve it or if it will even have the same conflict.

euchreplayer23 graciously went through and made individual vehicle replacement mutators for each vehicle to work with PS3. Using his mutator you don't need the 'snarf' maps anymore.

there are 2 mutators included for each vehicle, 1 that replaces similar vehicles with custom, and the 2nd that replaces all vehicles with all custom ones.
Anyways, since we can go into the PS3 and replace things with other things. I was wondering if we could do this idea I had. I want to replace the red flag stand with a red power core. And the blue flag stand with a blue core. (Other nodes would disappear as well). I already know how to make other maps (VCTF-, CTF-) selectable in a flag game. This would auto convert all CTF-, VCTF- maps into war maps. And the reverse for war maps into flag maps.

hi i got plans of buildin a multi vehi DM map. her is my question:
how and what i got to do to make some of this run directly by mapstart not by mutator?
ED: letz say i would like to use 1x Kraits, 1x Albatros, 1x Ballista on humen mapside & 6x Scavanger, 4x Forager on Necris themed mapside. what files i got to integrate to the mapfile to make this run without mutator up n runin, is this posible ? n what u think about this combination for a DM vehi fun map?

You can add the vehicles to your map directly using the editor, just like you would any other vehicle. That's how the Snarflan, Snarfalanche, etc maps work. There is no mutator needed this way. If you run the map on a server, you'll need to include the script\ folder on the server and whatever vehicle scripts you are using in your map.
Oh, and 4 foragers?!? OMG! Forager is a bit over powered! Humans are toast with that setup :)

The IonTank and the Nautilus had a bug when used online which was fixed in v6. If the server scripts are updated with v6 they should start working.

Hi alls! CaptainSnarf, I have a problem. No matter what I try to do, the Nautilus never loads. It doesn't matter which vehicle I replace it with, because where the vehicle should spawn is always empty. I have patch 1.1. Here is a screenshot, in which I tried replacing the Raptor with the Nautilus.

One place I've heard of it working is on VCTF-Suspense. If you swap the Manta for the Nautilus, the neutral Manta underneath the bridge should get replaced correctly.
There is a lot of pages, and maybe its has been asked before, but is there planning completely new custom models for vehicles ???

I just tried that, and it didn't work. I also tried replacing vehicles on Imperialism (a super-huge open Warfare map) and it still didn't show up. Thanks anyway, though.
(If you are aware of problems with it spawning due to its size, why don't you make it smaller in the next release?)

I just wanna say that I had no real problem to add them vehicles into my custom maps. Not sure about when you just replacing other vehicles on the server. I am glad to hear that there is v6 out there already, didnt know that. ;)

There is a lot of pages, and maybe its has been asked before, but is there planning completely new custom models for vehicles ???
Currently I have no plans on creating custom models for the vehicles. I'm more of a programmer than a modeler. I could probably do it, but the models would be ugly :) I have zero experience with 3d modeling. I would very much like to make some mech vehicles for UT3 but I can't do all the models, animations, etc.
One thing I do want to fix are the vehicle textures. To make the modified vehicles look different, I applied various textures to them, textures which exist in the engine, but don't necessarily fit over the models correctly. The BioTank? I just applied the BioRifle's material to the goliath. Simple stuff really, but not ideal at all. Changing the materials makes them look different, and in some ways cool, but in other ways like crap. Creating real textures for the vehicles will probably be done for the next phase of the MSUC.

I think that I may have found an other bug...
Kraits lay slow fields, right? Well, I find that if you are in a Kraits, and also in a Kraits' slow field, and you jump, you go up indefinitely until you are out of the slow field (or until you hit something above).
Also concerning my Nautilus problem, do you have patch 1.2? That might be the problem as I've tried it with 1.0 and 1.1.

hey, i'm a big fan of the powerboard but would it be possible to make it so you can't fall off unless you are carrying a flag or an orb. Its fun trying to fight with the board but you get knocked off too often.

The bug you describe with Kraits is actually a bug in the Viper. After jumping, the viper can jump again if it makes contact with a volume. You may have noticed that you jump again in the viper if you run into a wall while jumping and holding down jump. It's the same principle/bug, except more pronounced inside a slow volume since you make continuous contact with it.

I just tried summoning the Nautilus. Whereas other summoned vehicles (e.g. the Owl, or the Kraits) appeared where I was standing, and splattering me, entering the summoning command did nothing for the Nautilus, even when I stood in extremely large and unpopulated spaces.
However, I did download Snarflan and apparently it works there. You weren't kidding when you said it was big. At least I got it to work in some way!

I got a weird bug trying to use some vehicles with the vehicle replacement mutator: I tried to add the Cerberus and the Spanker, but instead i got a crap load of Minotaurs in their place...

the coding is np .. thanks for offering, I am running fully custom mods on my server I just didn't release the vehicles. Reason being is a lot of them carry flags etc. and that sorta blows it for epics standard play. My problem lies in rigging on this particular one( im a bit nuubish there), and simply having enough free time and the will to finish it. Anyway I have heard a ton of good things about your vehicles here and there so keep it up man!

yes its a good idea but the problems are that unk has tons of errors in the maps and they rarly fix them wich pisses me off
i am open to fixing any errors in the maps i make if they are brought to my attention. a broad generalization of all our maps really doesnt help though. i have made a thread for anyone to post in about this.

You do not need to download the vehicle replacement mutator again. It is included in the V7 package. If you have installed any older version, it will need to be removed before installing V7, which installs to it's own folder.
To remove the older version, carefully remove the files:

The files for the old version are in your "My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame" folder. Look there to delete the old version files.
If this process is too difficult I may need to make a windows installer package.

First of all, nice work. I always thought the Axxon vehicles were lacking the necessary amount of ridiculous power necessary to qualify as 'Unreal' enough for me to play with. I'm gonna use these now.
Secondly, there's a mutator that someone just made that puts the scroll-zoom back in, but it doesn't work with custom vehicles. Any thoughts of making these compatible? (He made slightly different versions of each vehicle with this option in them. He made it sound like it was about six lines of code different, but I don't know.) I'm asking this as a sort of public service. I don't play with that mutator at this point, although I might at some point.

Wow such a nice way to put it.
1. Install the V7 package on the server just as you would the client
2. Edit the file
"UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Snarf\Config\UTMT_Vehicl eReplacement.ini".
For each vehicle you wish to replace, you will need to add a "VehiclesToReplace" line similar to the one below
[MT_VehicleReplacement.UTMutator_VehicleReplacement]
VehiclesToReplace=(OldClassName="UTVehicle_Goliath_Content",NewClassPath="VH_BioTank.UTVehicle_BioTank_Content")
This would replace the Goliath with the BioTank for example. The values for OldClassName and NewClassPath are the actual script class names. Generally speaking, they are in the form of
OldClassName="UTVehicle_TheOldVehicle_Content"
NewClassPath="VH_TheNewVehicle.UTVehicle_TheNewVehicle_Content"
Rarely, the vehicle does not have the _Content tag on the end (I believe the Nemesis doesn't have _Content on the end)
3. Run the server using the vehicle replacement mutator
ut3 server WAR-Torlan?mutator=MT_VehicleReplacement.UTMutator_Veh icleReplacement
You used to be able to skip step 2 and simply configure the mutator how you wanted in-game using the menus on the client and then copy the .ini file to the server. For some reason it doesn't save the configuration anymore.

If you remove all of those files and still get the "Ambiguous Package" error, if you read the error message, it should say something like "Using Package X instead of Package Y" and it lists the file names. Keep the package that's in a 'snarf' subdirectory and remove the other one and it should work. Again sorry about this packaging issue.
The only vehicle that shows up as a standalone mutator is the hellbender deluxe vehicle. The rest require you to use the vehicle replacement mutator.

First off, excellent mod — it's one of my favorites! Great job on V.0.7 updates... the new textures and particlce effects look fantastic!!! :D
I may have found a bug though... When I use the secondary fire mode of the Cerberus and fire off several projectiles in quick succession, the orange globe for the projectile doesn't always draw properly. It'll fire properly one or two times (ie. the projectile is visible), but then the third, fourth, nth shots are invisible. Once they go invisible, try lobbing one upwards (or off a bridge) so that it flies for a while, and you'll actually see it pop into existance after a second or so... Not being able to see how your shots fly is a bit problematic as it makes it difficult to lob accurately... :)
Anyways, great work! I hope you get this bug fixed as the rest of the particle effects look great!

Well, that's the problem. Take all things in the SnarfVehiclesV7 folder and drag them into the Unreal Tournament 3 folder which contains it. (I think that the only thing you have to drag is a UTGame folder, which yes, you should merge.)

It seems to work for me ok? I set up a server on my machine and then ran the client and connected to it. The Nautilus beam and the Ion Tank weapon both seemed to work OK.
After reviewing the logs I did however notice few other problems :( There will be a new version soon (before MSUC phase 2 ends). I spent a long time testing but obviously it was not long enough.
Enough people have had problems with installing that I will look into making a windows installer package as well. If anything I need to brush up on that stuff.

Great job! I especially like the vehicles that depend more on clever use than twitchy micro, such as the Albatros, Gorgon, Mandrake and Minotaur. I also love the BioTank, Cerberus, Forager and Nautilus concepts.
It would be nice to see more variety in the movement modes. Most of the effort seems to have gone into the various fire modes, and most vehicles handle very similarly to Epic's versions. Adding some sort of boost/roll/slide/flip option greatly expands the player-vehicle interaction, especially during those moments when you're just trying to get back into the action.
The yellow shock balls (Kraken seat 5 and Tantalus altfire) crash my game when they land.
The Ballista seems a bit hard to use properly, but that might be due to UT3's crappy vehicle crosshairs.
The Albatross primary fire is kinda hard to aim (have to aim miles beside the intended target) and looks a lot more frightening than it actually is (either that, or I'm using it wrong).
The Nautilus obscures just about everything below it, making it difficult to aim. There's a defaultproperty you might want to try; LookForwardDist=1800. It helps you see in front of the nose when aiming down.
Would you be willing to share the code for that vehicle replacement mutator? It's exactly what I was looking for.

This used to work. The code for the vehicle replacement mutator has not changed. The only reason I can think it doesn't work now is it doesn't like the new install location. The UT3 engine probably restricts which folders a mutator is allowed to write to. If that's the case, moving it back to it's old location might fix the problem.

- fixed many warnings/errors appearing in log window (but not all ...)
- fixed bug causing player to get trapped in nautilus
- make kraken avril turret rockets only lock vehicles
- slowed down kraken avril turret fire rate
- fix mandrake cloak when firing during online session
- fixed bug with vehicle replacment mutator not saving it's configuration
- Added Windows Installer package for easy install / upgrade
- cooked all packages. V7 packages are uncooked and will fail with cooked maps.

I was using the Kraken in Suspense... and found that it took a couple minutes of continual firing from one Kraken to destroy another. However, not one person took my flag. Yay for screen-shattering explosions!
You should upgrade the Nautilus to be like a flying Kraken, but more powerful.

Are there any plans to add custom sounds to this mod? I know they won't transfer properly to the PS3, but for the PC users, this would be perfect. Last time I checked, there were no new sounds, which was kind of disappointing.

Server installation and configuration
-------------------
Install the package on the server just as you would the client.
On the client, open instant action, choose a vehicle type map, and then add and configure the vehicle replacement mutator using the mutator menu.
Once configured, you can exit the game and then copy the ini file from the client machine to the server machine. The ini file is:
$(Unreal Tournament 3)\UTGame\Config\UTMT_VehicleReplacement.ini
If you have the full installation of the game on the server, you can skip this file copy step and simply configure the mutator on the server directly using the menus.
Once that's all done you can then run the server using the mutator, e.g.
ut3 server WAR-Torlan?mutator=MT_VehicleReplacement.UTMutator_Veh icleReplacement
Please let me know if this is enough info otherwise I need to update the readme file. I've never used the web admin so I'm not sure how it works.

Although technically the hoverboard, trickboard, and powerboard are all vehicles, they don't work the same way and won't work with the vehicle replacement mutator. Instead, there are separate mutators for the trickboard and powerboard respectively.
This line will run both the trickboard mutator and the vehicle replacement mutator:
ut3 server WAR-Torlan?mutator=VH_Trickboard.UTTrickboardMutator?m utator=MT_VehicleReplacement.UTMutator_VehicleRepl acement
For the powerboard replace the word 'Trickboard' with 'Powerboard' in the above line.

Yes, it should work with pretty much any vehicle in UT3.
In order for the new vehicle to be listed in the vehicle replacement mutator menu, an .ini file must be created for the new vehicle. Here is a sample for the Goliath vehicle:
[UTVehicle_Goliath_Content UTUIDataProvider_Vehicle]
ClassName=UTGameContent.UTVehicle_Goliath_Content
FriendlyName=Goliath
The word 'UTVehicle_Goliath_Content' is the name of the vehicle class. It should be replaced with the new vehicle's class name. The word 'UTGameContent' is the name of the package the script was compiled into.
The engine scans all .ini files before loading so the .ini file can have any name. It just needs to be placed in the UTGame\Config folder or somewhere under the UTGame\Published\CookedPC folder hierarchy.
It is recommended that a vehicle developer that wants to use the vehicle replacement mutator create their own .ini file using the sample above. That is how all of my vehicles work with the vehicle replacement mutator. I created an .ini file for each vehicle instead of updating the UTVehicleReplacement.ini every time.

I will release new vehicles that use custom models sometime in the future but when I do it will be in a separate package, not the 'modded vehicles' package. It will have a branding all it's own similar to Xyx's 'XS' series.

I took the plunge and downloaded/installed Snarf_v8 last night. Played a few rounds to test it out before the Friday Frags with the gang...and your stuff rocks, CaptainSnarf. Our VCTF games are going to be very different tonight!
I do have a question for you though...I run the webadmin tool on my server and I can't get the vehicle replacement mutie to come up in the web admin. I did all my configuring directly on the server, but I'd like to have it show up in the webadmin so I can configure more quickly on the fly. Am I doing something wrong or does this not work with the webadmin?

Hmm, I've not familiar with the web admin so I can't say for sure if it works or not. The code is based on the weapon replacement mutator which ships with UT3. If you can configure the weapon replacement mutator through webadmin, you should be able to configure the vehicle replacement mutator too.
It may be because of my (odd) install location of UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Snarf.
Try this:
Move these:
UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Snarf\Vehicles\MT_Vehicl eReplacementMenu.upk
UTGame\Published\CookedPC\Snarf\Script\MT_VehicleR eplacement.u
to here (their default locations as per the editor):

The config files must always be here:
UTGame\Config\UTMT_VehicleReplacement.ini

If the config files are in any other location your changes you make in the in-game configuration UI will not save. The script files can be installed anywhere and they work, but I'm not sure if that's true of web admin which is why I'm asking you to try this ;)
This advice may or may not help :) Sorry I really don't know anything about the web admin (but I probably should! ).

I tried moving the files around per your suggestion, CaptainSnarf...and unfortunately, no luck. The Webadmin still didn't pick up the mutator configuration ability. I also tried editing the call into the UTGame.ini in a similar fashion to the Weapons Replacement mutator, but that didn't help out the Webadmin either.
The good part is that it's running nicely...I just can't configure through the Webadmin. I'll experiment more and see if I can untangle what the Webadmin needs to have this work right. I'll post back if I come up with anything.

The Minotaur, aka SUPER TANK has been a favorite of mine... was just playing it on UT2004 last night. I love your phrase "Not for Noobs", because its an utter nightmare on a full server (12 x 12 players) and some noob has this tank. We're yelling and cursing the guy to GET OUT... yeah we lost big time. When I'm on UT2004 - I was and still one of the better drivers for the Super Tank on the server I play on. I know how to swing her around corners ;) But still, its a team effort to win a battle.
I'm sorry, but I've always called it SuperTank. Easier to type in during team-chat. ;)

There are two packages:

UTGold.UTVehicle_StealthBenderGold (_Content?)
I tried both packages, with and without the _Content, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm pretty sure it's not the first package as that's the unfinished version that was left over in the first patch.
Making it work with the mutator was the first thing I tried when the patch came out. I'll let you know if I make any progress.

Love this mod, vehicles work fine, but the maps you have I'm having issues with. I can get minustankmeup v8 to work fine, but the synapse v8 crashes on loading, as does hydroextractor v8. Tanksforplaying v8 works fine as well. I can load the non-v8 maps just fine. Any ideas? I'm going to try custom switching vehicles to see if it's a particular vehicle causing the crash...

Make sure you install the war-snarf-v8a pack on top of any previous version. You will have issues if you install the map pack first and then the V8 vehicles second. The v8a vehicles are a later cook. The vehicles are also included with the map pack so you don't need to install them separately.

I'm not sure about issues with the Nautilus but the Mandrake definitely crashes ut3 with patch 2.0 installed. Some vehicles work, some don't. It depends on what changed. Your mileage may vary ;)
There will need to be a new version of the modded vehicles that corrects these problems, but I'm not sure how quickly I can get it done.
As for the PS3 versions, euchreplayer23 has been very gracious in cooking up content for the PS3 community. The individual mutators for each vehicle where specifically made for the PS3 by him, so it is difficult for me to cook it myself these days ;)

few issues i have found otherwise very nice
1: MEGASPAM doesnt even summon(used MSI to install & used " summon VH_MegaSPAM.UTVehicle_MegaSPAM_Content" to spawn
2: hornet hovers when no driver is in it & blades dont spin
3: Kraits has default checker material when summoned
4: Minotaur made my game crash(could be just random) & i quit here during testing
5: some vehicles summon with the normal material for similar vehicle(eg biotank spawns with normal tank material but once u get in it changes to the BioTank Material
it would have been nice to have some summon codes in the readme without going through the inis to find them

I maybe found some sort of bug:P
you can't(or at least I can't) replace the Rapter, Fury or Cicada with any of these, I treid to replace the Raptor with the Nautilus and the Ciciada with ther albatross, they both didn't show up in the map(tested on: WAR - Torlan and VCTF - Suspanese with vehicle replacement mutatoer), every ground vehicle works fine.
EDIT:
Replacing the fury with the rattler did worked, so maybe there's some bug with the nautilus and Albatros?
EDIT2:
Replacing the raptor with the albatross worked, so the only 2 vehicle that doesn't work for me are the Themis(under the nemesis) and the Mautilus(under the levaithan)

Got the Themis to work with removing *_content* out of the name, tho, the nautilus still refuses to work(I tried removinf Content there too, but it didnt worked. I replaced the laviathan with it)
The Nautilus fails to work on most of my maps too. Just a thought...instead of focusing on the coding, maybe its just simply too big to fit? (I suggest this idea as when I make the Minotaur spawns where the Goliath should be on Suspense it leans to the side of the cliff and is almost impossible to move...same thing happens when i replace the SPMA with something bigger...the Nautilus too sometimes spawns and destroys itself under the Suspense bridge by continuously hitting the bottom of the bridge, (I think)) or maybe we are only allowed up to 2 per map (is this true?), so replacing it with something which may appear more than once (e.g 3 mantas in Suspense) will only have one spawn, (i.e. at the bottom of the bridge for the Suspense map...to tell you the truth, I can only get the nautilus to spawn on Suspense and Train Crossing :S)
Also, CaptainSnarf: sometimes when your modded aircraft (like your owl) are driven by AI, they do not fly upwards, they just drive the plane along the ground like a tank. Also, the Nautilus moves so slowly...it gets shot down before being able to do any real damage...same with the Albatross. Also, the Alba's primary fire is nigh impossible to aim :S...don't mean to nitpick though, don't get the wrong idea...just trying to improve your already excellent piece of art. :) You're an excellent modder. Looking forward to your next release! ;)

Ok I'm back after messing with the configs a bit. I'm only having these issues(PC):
Aegis and Themis will not spawn, no matter what I do, if I try to manually spawn them nothing happens.
Mandrake has some big issue it seems with everybody, so I'd say this one gets top priority on getting reworked. Trying to spawn the mandrake causing the whole game to crash.
I agree, the Nautilus is kind of big, if the model can get reworked into a smaller specification that would probably help.
My only other beef is the hornet, a machine gun is nice, but something heavier like the nemesis cannons would be nice. Either that or have some kind of booster system that when you ascend or descend it gives a short burst like the manta does(don't know how easy this would be to pull off).
Other than that great mod, we now just need more maps and servers to host these mods! BTW anybody know any good weapon mods?

To any PS3 players out there I also included a StealthBender replacement Mutator...
Stealthbender replaces the hellbender & stealth bender replaces all vehicles.
BioTank is a beast, it would be cool if the biotank spawned goo that were alive and you were able to direct towards enemys like the avril secondary with spidermines.

These vehicles look nice (I've tried a few so far) but when ever I try to load the test map the game crashes (Same thing for the editor). Also when I try to start a match with all the standard vehicles replaced with their Snarf versions it crashes again. I haven't had a chance to see if it's a specific vehicle yet but I know some of them work.

Not all of the vehicles work with the 2.0 patch. Until I rebuild and recook everything, your mileage may vary :o They all worked fine before the 2.0 patch. There is a note at the top of the mods forum by Steve Polge that says vehicles will need to be recooked so that's most likely the problem. Someone noted above that specifically the Mandrake vehicle will crash, so avoid that one for now :) A lot of the code depends on the behavior of the base classes. If they changed with the 2.0 patch (which they most likely did) then my code will break.
I've been very busy working on some new maps for MSUC phase 3. Once those are finished, I'll make a V9 version which corrects these issues. I really haven't looked at the code yet but it shouldn't take more than a weekend to fix it.

Not all of the vehicles work with the 2.0 patch. Until I rebuild and recook everything, your mileage may vary :o They all worked fine before the 2.0 patch. There is a note at the top of the mods forum by Steve Polge that says vehicles will need to be recooked so that's most likely the problem. Someone noted above that specifically the Mandrake vehicle will crash, so avoid that one for now :) A lot of the code depends on the behavior of the base classes. If they changed with the 2.0 patch (which they most likely did) then my code will break.
I've been very busy working on some new maps for MSUC phase 3. Once those are finished, I'll make a V9 version which corrects these issues. I really haven't looked at the code yet but it shouldn't take more than a weekend to fix it.

Lets see now... all your ground vehicles seem to be in good order...although I have a minor issue with the Kraken again I'm afraid. On certain spawn points (like the SPMA spawn in Torlan), the vehicle is thrown out and rolls upside down when a node is captured, and when it's upside down, there's no way of using it (replace the SPMA with it on Torlan to see what i mean)...and the Nautilus 'STILL' doesn't spawn on most maps (methinks it may be the size issue still...guess nothing can be done about that in that case)...also...IMO, it needs more juice, I mean...its primary lasers do less damage than the albatross' guns (I used the EliteMachines Mod to measure this in case anyone is wondering, Nautilus lasers do 15 and albatross guns do 30)...also, I think the dual ion cannons on the Nautilus could do with a little extra damage and area of effect...as I seem to be getting more kills with the ion tank primary than the Nautilus' big cannons. Well, aside from those two issues, I'd say you've done a pretty good job overall :)
P.S. Sorry if it seems I'm being a bit forward... I'm just making suggestions yeah? :)
UPDATE: Okay...upon further play testing I've found my UT3 crashing a lot in game whenever I'm using your vehicles...is it just me or has anyone else experienced this?

I tried the vehicles today, and I found that the Ballista is really useless. What am I supposed to use it for anyways? I think it needs to be faster, or have a more effective attack (or both). Because whenever I use it, I get killed quickly and don't usually get to kill anything. But then again, maybe I just suck :(

Tried out almost all of the vehicles, very cool. My favourites: Forager, IonTank, MegaSPMA, Minotaur (except the driving), BioTank and Albatros. Nautilus looks fun but it didn't work for me. Thank you for the awesome modded vehicles!

Hey captain snarf I have been working on my own custom vehicles for ut3 and run into some roadblocks. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to post uncooked versions of your packages and script so I could take a look and see what I might be doing wrong.
