I haven't been through all the videos yet but can anyone tell me where it might describe how to set up a teleport?
I am familiar with UT2004 method but cannot figure out how UT3 handles it.

It's actually pretty much the same as the old editor. They have actually made it easer to work with in the new editor.
First thing to do is grab the teleporter. It's in the NavigationPoint under the actor class window. Expand the Teleporter menu, then expand UTTeleporterBase and pick UTTeleporter.
Place your teleporters and all that jaz.
Now go into the teleporter properties.
expand Object and in the tag field set it to something like Tpa for your first teleporter.
Then go into the Object and the tag field on the second teleporter and call it Tpb.
Then on you will need to expand the Teleporter section then where it says URL type the name of the teleporter you wish to link it to. For example if your in the properties of Tpb; you would set the URL to Tpa. For the URL of Tpa you would set it to Tpb.

Thanks, that seems very straight forward, I do hope that the teleport of vehicles work, that could be cool, (could make some stargates).

saw this thread a couple of days ago bookmarked it and i was thinking about making my own mod now and at least i know how to make teleports now :)

Yes the teleports in UT3 now have the option to teleport vehicles. You just have to make its collision bigger.

You can turn the collision off in Kismet with a "Change Collision" node this will stop the teleport from working.
So it is possible to set up a switch to toggle the teleport on and off.

As an exercise I created a couple of stargates, see;

(this is only a 1 on 1 map with bugs but the teleport is cool)
