That would be awesome.I love Star Gate SG-1 and Alantis.I'm a huge Sci-fi fan.I've always wanted to do a Star Gate Mod.Star Gate Worlds an MMO game is about to come out soon and it uses the Unreal Engine3 too.I'm also level desiner and modeler,but I not the good at programming.I would be interested in joining team in making a Star Gate mod.

A MOD is a modification of a game. For instance, you can take UT3 and after a lot of work (and I mean a lot), you could have whats called a "total convention" of UT3 into a Stargate MOD (or any other kind of MOD). This would mean that you would basically have a new game to play, a Stargate game.

And thats why MGM has been shutting down Stargate MODs. It has to do with the fact that MGM owns Stargate, and seems not to allow unauthorized development. And its not just MGM, other studios have been doing the same thing to MODs recently.

Although, the links I posted are still valid. We'll just have to wait to see what happens to this stargate mod. Who knows, with the apparent cancilation of MGM's stargate game, MODs might be allowed to flourish...

Ok why does the image gallery for stargateworlds look so last gen if its on the ut3 engine ?
Prepare for a short run or a cancellation. I had high hopes for SG1 gaming :(

I bet the MMO is going to suck, the concept has SO much potential though for MMO use, it should be the best MMO ever, but I'd put money on it that it wont come close.

I love sg1 and Atlantis but I'm not sure if this MMORPG will live up to the hype of unreal engine 3.

from the Video I saw on TV it looks kind of awful like they dont know how to create chars and what not better then that. not even using the full power of ue3.

I don't understand why company's want to kill mods off, it is free advertisements for their product. What do they not understand? I could get it if there was a game being made in the works and they want people to buy their game and not a modded free version, but they are not even making one now...

I'd guess that any Stargate mod anyone attempts will be shut down before it gets anywhere near a release.
