i dont know if this has previously been discussed on this forum so i apologise if im repeating a topic already covered.
I bought unreal tournament 3 yesterday as i needed the toolset for universtiy and though i could play the game with some mates as well. first off my system specs are:
AMD athlon 64 X2 4600+ 2.4ghz
2GB DDR2
Nvidia 8800GTS 320Mb graphics card
I installed the game and went to play, i got through all the main screens and wanted to play an offline game first so selected instant action, selected my map and clicked begin game.
the game kicked me straight to the desktop, thought this might be a temporary problem so i restarted my system and it did the same again. I then uninstalled the game and re-installed. Same problem, or this time it started to load the map i hear the windows error sound and it stays on the screen with the rotating Unreal symbol without ever loading a map i even left it to load for twenty mins to no avail.
So i uninstalled again and re-installed and this time i downloaded and applied the patch. this created a new error that kicked me out as soon as i get to the main menu saying the C++ Distributable had caused an error and that the program had to close.
So again uninstalled and downloaded the new 169.28 beta drivers and updated drivers for my sound card.
re-installed without the patch and im back to the origional problem..... really dont know where to go to get this to work so i thought i would ask on here. any help would be greatly appretiated.
