Heres my third map for UT3 so far. Finnished this moring

-Pretty basc layout
-3 custom textures
-Probably good for about 5-8 players

It seems like u and Zmapsr r putting out maps that are very basic and with not much imagination. Ppl r going to realize this soon.
You might try and spend alot more time on 1 to make them better than tring to establish yourselves as good modders.

I am going to agree with ur-name-here. Rather than releasing many maps that are only so so; you should release one or two really good maps. The whole what have you made for us argument makes no sense. Do you ever complain about your computer? Well from now on you can't because you didn't make and design every part of it...See how little sense that makes? This map just pretty much says "I was made in a day"

I personally think its cool that these guys are simply putting maps up at all.... you don't have to play it if you don't want to... and though you had a point ur-name-here, you could have Suggested something more creative, thus helping the OP on his map.... but instead you copied and pasted an offense post you made before, (or maybe this is the original), nonetheless, that was very rude.... thats not even close to "constructive criticism".... put yourself in someones shoes BEFORE make comments dude...

anyway... love to see this on PS3 soon... cuz unlike some people, others like to just play for 5 minute matches on a bunch of maps, regardless, just to keep things interesting, and fair, because no one has the advantage of knowing the map... keep it up!

Dude, he was making a helpfull suggestion. Many of the new mappers just think "yay, do this, do that, done... whats next?"

If each mapper spends alot of time on each map, then the whole UT experience as a whole will get better. the "He's making it for us so dont complain" argument is entirely faulty, because they should want our input on the map. yes, he could have been more constructive, but the OP clearly stated that his map had little imagination.

No one will ever say "OMG i love *insert name* for making those dozens of mediocre maps!", they will say "OMG thanks so much for making a complete and creative map"

This map would be excellent as a first timer,and it is actually fun; however, this is the 3rd map the OP has released in a short time, and im sure they would be MUCH improved if they had spent more time and tried to be creative.

I haven't played this map yet, but I'd just like to add to the conversation. If the map doesn't play well, it's likely that it won't go into heavy rotation, and most people won't d/l it. This can be VERY irritating if a server actually does put it into rotation and no one has it. Server goes from full to empy instantly, people have to go d/l it, then once they finally get it, they realize it isn't worth playing, so they never vote for it. Overall, a big waste of time.

If you want your map to be successful, then you need to put the time into it, make sure it's fun to play and made well.

Unless of course it's just a map test, or you're showing off some ideas... then the map should be advertised as such.

-Im not a professional mapper, i just like mapping for a hobby
-If anyone thinks the maps are too simple and dont like them theres no requirement to download em.

Im glad to here u wrnt offended by my comments.
It seems some others were.
I quess if I played on a Play Station, I would want anything and everything to download. Stated mainly because most of the post ive noticed have come from many of them who have just recently started recieving new downloads.

The suggestion still is there. And seems their are others who agree to putting more time into your maps
With your brothers help Im sure something can change with the mapping.
