Free For All in GOW2?

would anyone like to see a ffa game mode in the second gears of war? I think it could be pulled off. It might not work because people might be doin shotgun battles and a random noob just comes up and kills both of you, but i think it might be able to workout and could be real fun. Post your ideas or concerns

hmmmmmmm...... not very high on my "wants/needs" list for gow 2. i kinda like the fact that you should work more as a team in all the gametypes they have now (though it could just be because i usually play on my freinds' teams :/)

No. The Gears team should focus on core gameplay, features, etc. If, however it is included this is what I would like to see:

-Bigger maps specially designed for FFA. Imagine trying to play Gridlock with 7 other people trying to kill you, it would be impossible. Can you say carnage?
-If their are no bigger maps, then a smaller amount of people.

To begin with, this already sounds boring to me. I'm not really interested... :cool:

I really think they should have an FFA. Sure, Gears of War is one of the biggest team games around, but having an FFA to show off some individual skill is always fun. I mean, it's just an option you wouldn't HAVE to play FFA. I agree that they should focus more on team gametypes, but an FFA would be very fun.

Maybe, but here's what would have to be done:

4-5 Players Only

Smaller Maps(I think if they added this game mode and Raven Down was brought back it'd be cool, seeing that Raven Down has 4 sides, one for each player)

It'd have to let you mash the A button to get back up when your down

More close range weapons

a few things:
1: GOW 2 hasnt even be announced yet....dream on
2: GOW is supposed to be a team based tactical shooter, so a FFA wouldn't fit
3: If u want a FFA, play annex w/ friendly fire on, then tell everyone to just go at each other. problem solved.

I don't get why people are being so negative. You wouldn't be forced to play in the FFA matches. You could stick to team-based things if you'd like. An FFA would be extremely fun and be good for showing off and honing your skills.

I'd be open to the idea of multiple teams facing off against one another on larger maps. Perhaps different factions of COGS and Locusts. I would agree with others here that an ffa with individuals takes away from the team based gameplay of Gears.

It's because the recent announcment from various sites saying that GoW 2 will be release this November. That would be sick if it was.

But I would love a Gears FFA....but it's not going to happen because its a team based game and I don't think Epic will implement it.

Just do a 19 annex with Friendly Fire on................BUT IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME!!!!! lol
